I hate pipped crappy music, obviously it's a station for those people who CANT sing! You get this a lot in the pound shop.

Music which usually features a screeching woman or wet nelly male with auto tune. Remember when you could shop and think in peace ? I hate it with a passion. We have to have music piped everywhere now.

Other people who invade your space when you are either paying or browsing.
    ever considered shoppping online?
  • I once suggested to Tesco that instead of lumping all reduced items in one spot they should be placed at the front of their respective places in the supermarket , that way regular customers could have the saving on something they actually want . . Not interested . I've given it more thought . They don't want to hurt sales of full price items and really need to shift the cheap stuff before they have to pay to get rid of it . Every little helps Who ?
  • When folk shush her I just tell her it's ok, she can be as noisy as she likes and to pay no attention to the rude, grumpy person that shushed her. Usually followed by a glare in their direction.

The checkout assistant got booted off her seat and the manager served me instead. I don't tend to get annoyed very easily but when folk moan at my daughter I see red!

You should control the noise your child makes not leave it to others to do so. Your child should be educated that there are times to shout & times to be quiet. A supermarket is NOT the place to should loudly
  • 1 Waiting in a queue for the self scanner and some twerp just waltzes past everyone to use one that has just become available pretending not to notice the queue.

2 Someone who is being served at a checkout and you're the next in queue but they forget something halfway through and walks off to the furthest corner of the massive store, holding up everyone else till they come back with their tin of beans.

3 Usually lotto days, when I just want to buy a paper, and the people in front each take forever to buy their tickets, have them checked (do it at home for God's sakes!) buy scratch cards etc etc.

4 As above, usually in Morrisons, where a member of staff will say to me, after queueing, this is the lotto queue, go to the other till, when there are no signs stating this anywhere! It's a blooming fag kiosk usually too!

5 Drivers who are too lazy to park in a bay so use the designated taxi bay and then you see the elderly, disabled, mums with kids and shopping, having to struggle in between the cars or onto the road to get to the taxi.

6 Huge price changes that seemingly happen overnight, like Tesco a few years ago used to sell a whole in-store baked loaf for 80p one day and just a few days later increased it to £1.10.

7 Really good bargains, like buy 1 get 2 free, yet always seemingly sold out by 9am. Morrisons are good at this.

8 Really expensive items in comparison to other stores, usually the COOP.

Tin of Whiskas 30p more, Clover butter, 45p more etc.

9 Tesco. Just find it utterly depressing.

10 As above, Lidl & Aldi, also cheap muck.

Maybe you should try online shopping!

Couldn't agree more. Can I also add if your child is too big for the trolley seat then it is big enough to walk (and behave properly) NOT to stand/sit in a trolley which is dangerous, reinforces the fact they don't have to walk ANYWHERE and is pretty gross if they have stepped in anything untoward on their way into the store
  • I hate OP who stand silently behind you and expect you to know they are there and move out of their way and get upset when you don't.
A simple excuse me would get them what they want.

People who, when using a self service till, scan their items and put them in a pile in the little bagging area, pay and THEN pack it into bags. Only it takes ages as they've got no room because of the pile of stuff they've just made.

Scan it and then put it straight in the bag! People who can't work this out shouldn't be allowed out on their own.

Also people who block aisles chatting, people who complain in Aldi/Lidl about their shopping being thrown at them, and then try to pack at the checkout. If you want to do that, go somewhere else!

People who complain about Parent/Child spaces. "Why should people with kids get to park closer - can't they walk?".

It's not about how close they are to the entrance, they're positioned so that you don't have to cross the car park traffic. In my local Tesco they're round the side of the building, so further away from the entrance than most of the other spaces.

    What annoys me?
People who walk off with their shopping in a trolley and dump it on street corners afterwards. If anyone else tried to walk off with a hundred quids worth of goods from the shop you would be in court !
I don't mind as long as they leave the pound coin in it - then I'll wheel it back and claim the pound - how MSE is that ?
I need to think of something new here...
