    Also,

I've just contact my CC company and explained to them that I have cancelled the account. They advised me to email Experian and confirm my telephone conversation regarding the cancellation. Apparently as long as I keep a copy of the mail they will chase Experian for any money it tries to collect.

It seems that an email is good enough proof that the account has been cancelled.

    Cheers,

Well good for you - but I return to my original point for emphasis - Experian should honour their agreement to cancel the trial within 30 days FOC at the FIRST time of asking.

(I have email evidence of two requests to cancel it, well within the 30 days, which were both acknowledged by Experian with assurances no money would be taken - and they STILL took the money!)

I dont appreciate having to waste my time phoning my credit card company to get the money back and to ensure Experian dont help themselves to more of my cash without authorisation.

This is a totally blatant way of extracting money from people who are lazy/foolish enough to sign up and then not challenge them about it.

It appears that e-mails can take a while to process whereas phone calls are dealt with instantly, so probably better to phone the freephone number.

    Help!

I applied for my credit ref report from experian and it turns out that there is a number of fraudulent claims/identity fraud entries on it. They all refer to the same person who was living at my previous address two years after I moved out.

My question is what on earth do I do now? I'm really worried that companies have seen this and assumed its me - can I get them removed?

    Any help much appreciated

    Hi all

Has anyone actually got a National Credit Score from Experian online?

Is it useful and worth paying for? What does it include?

    Cheers!

Hi Bety - if you call Experian I think option 4 is to cancel - do post here if you find out more.

    Bety - from Martin's article:
