Is it just me who still can't get the Experian £2 statutory credit report done online?

I opted to have a paper copy and not the online version.

Filled in my card details, name, address, how long I've lived there etc then still get the error message and a prompt to apply via snail mail :(

I'm not certain, but I think it may depend on different CR companies. They dont make it easy do they.

What's the point of wanting to see your report online?
Checked my Experian report about a year ago and could do so from the time I paid. Now I've had to wait a day to get an email telling me my report is available once I enter a passkey which is being posted to me and can take up to 3 days.
So I can get a physical report sent in the post in 3 days or so, or wait at least 3 days to get a password through the same method to let me view the same thing.

Defeats the purpose of ticking the box to say "I want to view my report online" having to wait the same amount of time and then having to print it out myself.

Added: Oops, should have read the post a few posts above!
Anyway, passkey arrived and works fine.

Annoying the way it tells me nothing date wise. Gives lists of credit card card payments but doesn't say when so I could have made 10 in one month and you can't distinguish that from 1 each month for 10 months.

Not sure as well why Barclaycard mention a promo rate when I've no idea about this.

No mention of my LloydsTSB overdraft, but 3 unrecorded records from Camelot when I put some lottery numbers on.

Shame they generate the report when you apply rather than at the time you log in. Made payments since I applied and the report is a few days out.

    Hey,

Please can someone answer my question. I've had a Lloyds account for 12 years but stopped using two years ago to switch to santander (big mistake). My credit score on checkmyfile is 4 stars if I use the time with bank as 12 years and 3 stars if I use 2 years. If I close my santander account and go back to using Lloyds, will companies use that 12 years or will it start again? I have only had about £10 in the Lloyds account for the last two years as my salary and bills all are with santander. The difference between 3 and 4 star score could make a big difference when I try to get a mortgage.

    Thanks

    Dan

I ordered report on experian on initial one month trial basis and forgot to cancel it. They kept charging from my account. They should at least send a reminder that free trial is about to expire.

But they don't they are hoping you'll forget and keep the account running, its precisely why they have the free 30day trials.

    Why would they?
They want you to forget and continue?
That's the whole point for them.

My advice is always spend £2 and get the statutory report.

My wife when shopping in B&H was persuaded to get a B&H card she thought it was the same as B&Q over 60s where you get 10% off on wed, the sales girl kept pushing this 20% off on thur/fri, when I turned up I noticed the master card sticker so told the sales girl we did not want the card she said it was too late as it had gone through, but I could cancel when it arrived. Funny thing is we failed the credit search although I do not do credit and have no credit cards, I am debt free and have been since I paid off my mortgage in 1995, I have had no credit agreements since 1965 when I bought Triumph Herald car and still failed the search funny old thing, I would assume they have no details on me at all.

I'd just found it actually by googling for 'Call Credit statutory report'. But they do a pretty good job of hiding it - I do think the OfT/Information Commissioner should look into that one.

Could the Plain English campaign not get involved in making companies CLEARLY display the bits they are required to....not hiding it away

ooh it makes my blood boil

Does anyone know the cheapest option of getting your credit score? I don't really want to sign up for a subscription service and have viewed my credit report for £2 online, but it's £14.95 to see my credit score!
