LLOYDS TSB BACS derails my big purchase.....

Simple answer is Credit card, and the point you are trying to make is what exactly, when I have stated I do not purchase anything on credit as I pay for everything cash?
The point is, if you weren't so unreasonably dogmatic about paying cash for everything you could have had a credit card and made your purchase as planned - and as a bonus, with the right card you could have had cashback on the purchase too.0 -
Meer - Kitchen, on Sale, sale ends tomorrow.
I'd rather be dogmatic than live on credit/use credit cards!0 -

I realise that, the only information I have is the word of my client. I just can't wrap my head around the WHY would they make up BS?!?!?!? Anything is possible I guess.0 -

Using credit cards responsibly is a far cry from living on credit. You are missing the whole big world of 0% credit cards and cashback and airmiles and other reward credit cards.
Just as you send an invoice to your client once a month, a credit card company sends you a bill once a month. Just like your client pays you once a month, you can pay the credit card once a month. No charges need to be involved.0 -

I get your point, but I just DO NOT want any form of credit. The only credit I have is my mortgage, and I'd like to keep it that way. If I can't afford it/buy it cash, I don't buy it, with the exception of my mortgage of course.0 -
