LLOYDS TSB BACS derails my big purchase.....
Comments

Tell me about it! So highly annoying. Lloyds should really get their act together and should've rectified this situation by today, but they haven't. I suspect I will have to wait until Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri:mad::mad:
How do you know Lloyds have a BACS issue? Because your client told you?0 -
Many organisations would just send credits as a Faster Payment if they've had BACS problems or missed the submission date.
Best to wait until you've got cleared funds before spending them, particularly when you're a contractor and not an employee! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I have zero clue as to the details. I invoice them on the last day of the month (31 Oct 14), my invoice clearly states 5 days from date of invoice, which they have been adhering to, until today:mad:
What has either Lloyds or the TSB got to do with this?
5 days isn't long for payment to be in your bank account. Any number of reasons could have caused a short delay.0 -
your lucky with 5 days, most companys ignore and pay 14-28 daysDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

In MY case, with THIS client it's 5 days, always has been, never had a problem before now. They employ a lot of Contractors, and everyone is paid 5 days from date of invoice. I've been contracting for over 5 years, many different clients, and I've yet to be paid 28 days after invoice.
I really don't understand your train of thought re: your question? My Client has told me that is the reason, I have clearly stated that in OP, am I missing something??0 -
OP - Have you considered that the error might actually be caused by the sender either missing the cut off time for sending their BACS tape or be over limit which might need authorisation before being sent?
You don't think that they will only be sending one payment to you by BACS do you?0 -
