Evening all, thanks for stopping by. Today has been a bit better thanks, DH went out for a run with Paramedic Mate this morning and then out for a car journey with Best Mate this afternoon. To be honest it was nice to have a break. Both my Auntie and my friend have problems with their roofs at the moment, so Best Mate went to look at them for them and DH went along for the ride. Personally, I haven't been across the door today and it's been a NSD :j. DH has had a couple of angry outbursts tonight, it seems to be evening time when he gets tired that it all kicks off. Still can't get over the £75 coat! I've never had a coat that expensive myself!! My current coat is my Grandma's cast off :rotfl:. DS1 better blinking look after it! If I'm lucky it will do DS2 one day too (assuming superdry is still fashionable in 5 years time!).
Not a lot else to report. Feeling a bit meh XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Superdry. explains a lot... Not even great quality.
For future reference though if he does insist, there is a factory outlet for it on the bay of E where I have gotten a few tops at £12 a time instead of £60 odd.
Hope your meh wears off. xx

Hi Lucky, just catching up. £75 is a lot for a coat, I wouldn't pay that much for a coat for myself. At least you didn't have to buy it but you don't want him acquiring expensive tastes.
I agree with Lilt Mr Lucky needs a clip round the ear hole. He shouldn't snap at you after all you do for him and your family. Mr SA used to be quite grumpy before his illness, in fact he could be a right miserable so and so at times. He's much nicer now so I wonder if his brain damage is in the part that controls moods - every cloud .... Anyway if he snaps at you today we'll all be round to sort him out!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

 to DS1 coat, however, if it brings smiles and happiness it is a lovely gesture

Hi Lucky :hello:
Loving the 4/5 NSDs! You are doing super this month!! Don't let DH bring you down. Men are so trying. Us girls will stick together and get through it. Everytime he shouts at you, just picture a big black bear with a thorn in his paw and him singing a ridiculous song.
Have a lovely Sunday!

I wouldn't pay that for a coat for DGC regardless of how much I think they are worth the world. I wouldn't spend it on a coat for me either, even if I didn't have debt. Barking, kids grow out of things so quickly. XTargets

Evening all!
Re coat-gate (:p), DS1 was wearing a thin jacket for school and MiL (quite rightly) thought he'd catch his death of cold. What she didn't know was that he hardly even wore that either, preferring to stuff it in his bag half way up the street and not wear it at all on the way home . He has other, thicker coats but complained they were 'too puffy' and wouldn't wear them. I think the boy is actually insane!! I had tried to get him to try other coats on in the shops before now, but none of them were 'right', I think the older kids on the bus set standards about what is 'cool'. Hoodies and superdry seem to be the in-thing and he told MiL so. We went looking in the store because they had a sale on, but typically nothing in the sale fit him. Actually, their fitting is weird and he was a medium in some coats, a small in others and in some even the small was too big! For that reason, MiL wanted to buy something we knew that fitted rather than risking buying online. Totally agree that we could have gotten one cheaper on the eb@y store though.
Well my new shopping budget started yesterday but I didn't go shopping until today. I tried to keep it as low cost as possible (not least because we are broke until Tuesday), but it still cost £46.74, and that was with using a couple of money off coupons too. It was Mr T's, so no staff discount, but also no meat bought either. I'm trying to use up what I have in the freezer first.
Car was running on vapours so we put £10 diesel in to get us through until mid week.
We were supposed to be seeing my Grandma today but she wasn't well, so my Mum took her to hospital (think I forgot to mention she had to spend the night in hospital on Thursday due to an irregular heart rate). They wanted to readmit her but she refused . Hope she'll be ok
. So apart from Mr T's, we haven't been anywhere again today.

Oh love, so sorry to hear about your grandma. Hope she is ok! So worrying
granny I am so sorry I didn't mean to lump you in with my crazy mum & MiL. They both often say I have more of a head for budgets and bargains than they ever will but both refuse to accept that there is any other way to live. I know you are not likely to spend that much, and neither am I! Am just mentally running through Jelly's coats, and not a single one has ever been bought by me! Her newest is a Hello Kitty monstrosity from Mr S which MiL got on sale and she LOVES it. Sister got her a joules quilted one which isn't even waterproof... the tag was still on it... £40  - the child has at least 4 times the clothes that I have... Same with shoes!
Lucky super budgeting on the shopping. I did about the same, and got no meat either apart from some chicken dippers! Trying to work through the freezerand am also stony broke until the 28th rather than Tuesday so watch this space. I see a lot of bean stews in my future...
