  • Afternoon all.

Lost 1.5lbs at chub club yest - DH lost 4lbs . That means he's lost 13lbs in just 3 weeks, and I've lost 6.5lbs in the same time (though 2st 5.5lbs overall). I'm back to not speaking to him :p.

Went to see the medium last night who gave me the fab message from my Dad a year ago. Didn't get a message this time, but my friend did from her friend who passed away in August, so that was brilliant. And as it was in a social club I spent less than £6 (and found 50p roadkill on the floor :D). DH's Best Mate came round to sit with him while I was out so it worked out well all round.

    Hi Lucky, :hello:

Just catching up.. 17 weeks seizure-free for DH is great - hopefully his current meds will continue to be effective and you can finally relax your vigilance.. :)

Well done on continuing weight-loss too. You're doing much better than I am (skinniest troosers getting tight again :(). But are you sure you're being fair on yourself in competing with DH? From what you've written, it sounds like his metabolic rate is much faster than yours which makes it a very unfair comparison..

Men do lose weight faster than women Lucky, unfortunately us ladies have more body fat. So you can't compare yourself to DH. You're both doing brilliantly :)

  • I totally take on board everything you guys are saying re weight loss, men vs women and metabolic rates etc, but it's hard when DH has very little left to lose and I have 'tons'. Anyway, I'm plodding on and trying my best so that's what counts and every lb off is a step in the right direction.

Had a few anxiety wobbles today :(.

It's also been a NSD though, and to keep my mind occupied we've been sorting out more of the loft. The tip, charity shop, ebay pile and clothes weighing in pile have all benefited.

  • Busy few days. Friday, DH and I went for a 5k walk, did some food shopping and then Family Fun Friday was swimming at the 'fun' pool (DS1's choice). We also weighed in the clothes that weren't worth ebaying and got a 'massive' £6.74!! I then won £6.50 so I'm hoping that was the universe paying me back for the stuff I took to the charity shop :D. I know I haven't mentioned it much recently, but I'm still trying to do good deeds, and as Robin reminds me, sometimes the goodness comes back our way.

Today, DS2 was at a party and then we took both boys to the park before I went to work. It has been a NSD :T.

DH has been very angry the last few days :(.

Has he mentioned why he's angry Lucky?

  • He didn't think he was SA . I think he's tired and has maybe been overdoing things, but he seems very intolerant of everything, particularly the boys :(Xx
