Lots of lovely messages
. Evening everyone!
No word yet from Groupon . When I rang them
Yesterday, I explained that I'd messaged the circus directly so I knew I could use the tickets this week (though at first they said no!!), but that I felt I should be compensated for a wasted journey, disappointed kids and the fact that we then left ourselves short by having to pay to go to the cinema instead when we had already spent our budget on the circus tickets. I'm hoping for either a cash compensation or credit to use on another family outing. Will ring them tomorrow if still no word from them then.
Cazzy, I'm jealous of your trip to Beamish! We won't make it there this holidays but will hopefully go back soon. Hope you feel better now and that the move in with boyf goes well! Odd that you asked about the counselling as the CBT people rang yesterday, but they wanted to offer me a session while we are away next week. Despite the fact it is a telephone appointment, I didn't think it would be an appropriate time with the kids being off, in a strange place (with potentially no signal anyway), at lunchtime and we might be out and about. They will ring me again when the next appointments are released (hopefully not in another 6 weeks ). Heard nothing about the counselling though.
Today we went to the park and played there for a couple of hours in the sunshine. We took a football and DS1 made friends with some lads there and they had a kick about which was good to see. This afternoon my Mum and her partner came over for a catch up as they just got back from holiday, and after they left we watched a film together (House of Magic), which was cute!
Hope everyone is well XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Evening lovely lucky
Sounds like another lovely day. Took jelly on her bike to the park today and we fed the squirrels monkey-nuts and she played for ages on the park. There was a right little madam there who kept blocking the slide and the top of the route up to it and her mum was just stood talking and watching her deliberately blocking the way. I ended up walking up there myself and asking her, very politely, with the evilest of evil eyes if she would please move out of the way.. :rotfl: - my voice was pleasant. My look conveyed that if she did not move I would be moving her myself, with my foot. She moved, but she kept on repeatedly pushing past Jelly and then sitting at the top of the slide loudly proclaiming it was her turn then not moving. Nasty little so and so. I ended up taking jelly off to another bit of the park before I snapped, and Him said she ran over to her mum and said that Jelly (who was silently and patiently waiting for her turn) was being rude to her! :rotfl: shot herself in her foot by stopping Jelly and actually pushing her back down a section of the climbing frame and telling her she couldn't go on when her mum was right next to her. I wonder at some people
Anyways enough jibber on your thread. Thanks all for the thoughts. Had another lovely day and very glad that you have too Luckythis holidays malarkey isn't so bad

Your day sounds lovely Lilt, despite Lil Miss Bossyboots. I can't stand kids like that (and parents who do nothing, even less so!). Glad to read on your diary that you've had a lovely day for Jelly's birthday today too :j.
Fortune, I didn't manage to phone Gr0up0n today, nor did they contact me . Will try to ring them tomorrow, but hoping to make the circus tomorrow night too.
Today we have had a day out in the sun at a Nat Trust place which was fab. We have been lots of times before but it's my favourite one, and there are 3 separate play areas for the kids amongst other things. For the first time in more than 10 times we've been, DH felt like he'd been there before!! This is a major thing for him and feels like a little breakthrough.
We are all getting our hair cut in the morning - even me!!!! I figured 7 months of looking like a scarecrow was enough, especially as the boys have had at least 3 cuts in that time, and I kept putting mine off to save money.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Circus was absolutely brilliant :j:j. Honestly, I was so impressed. There were tricks, stunts and laughs a-plenty. I held my breath so many times I almost passed out! Both boys thought it was fantastic, and DS2 had his photo taken with Spiderman (£5 ). DH seemed to like the sexy ladies wearing not very much (I'm never eating again so I can look that good :rotfl:) and the brothers on the 'wheel of Death' weren't bad to look at either .
Groupon sent me an email today to thank me for my patience while they continued to look into the matter!! Sent them one back that said something along the lines of "sick of waiting for you, sorted it myself, been to circus today, still want compensation" in a more flowery way!!
Enjoyed the sunshine at the park before the circus, and been doing some ironing tonight in prep for our break away. DS2 is at a party in the morning so I've wrapped the present tonight and got him to write out the card before he went to bed, as I always seem to be panic wrapping 5 minutes before we have to leave the house! Delivered a gift to lovely neighbour as it's her birthday while we are away, and have a card ready to post for another birthday too. Look at me being organised!!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31.
