ah Lucky, glad to see the boiler/bills have been fixed. :( and sorry to see everything is not good for DS1 at school! I hope it sorts itself out, and glad to see the meds are having the desired effect. I'm thinking about going back to the docs! I'm crying most days now, and that isn't right, everyone is worried and I'm having regular arguements with everyone I love which doesn't help. I really don't know what to do anymore.

I have my counselling this week, and thinking about taking someone with me just to help portray just how i'm acting, is that allowed??

  • Happy Mother's Day everyone! Hope you've all had a lovely day.

We've had a great weekend regrouping as a family. Took the boys swimming yesterday and then have been at a family Christening today which was fab. Aside from that we've spent time at the park, building Lego and clearing DS1's room ready to hopefully redecorate sometime soon when funds allow. I think it's been just what we needed.

Thank you for all the positivity re DS1's issues at school. The school have been great and are arranging a counsellor to talk to him, not that DS1 wants to but tough. I am going to drop him off and pick him up wherever possible rather than him getting the school bus, and I'm sitting with him whenever he is on his xbox so I can monitor what is said both by him and to him when he is online with his friends. Mummytogirls I know exactly what you mean about wishing them small again!

Cazzy, it would depend on your individual Counsellors rules but I don't see why you couldn't take someone with you. I've been with DH before and it definitely helps (not least because he couldn't remember things, but also for another perspective). The person you take may be asked to sit outside for part of the session, but I think it would be a good idea to take someone. Sorry you are feeling so down.

I've been thinking a lot about my Goddaughter's Mum today. So hard to be a Mother without their child on Mother's Day :(.

  • Forgot to say, just for my own info more than anything, that DH had waves of fear this morning. He's been very tired today but so far nothing else.

Oh, and having been in the house permanently Mon-Thurs, the blinds were attempted to be delivered on Friday while we were at the school :(. So they are being redelivered tomorrow and we have to wait in again for them! Typical :rotfl:.

Happy Mothers Day supermum... It sounds like the weekend was just the ticket for all of you.

Got chills reading the school bus/online stuff about DS1. Was bullied very badly at school, and thank goodness the internet wasn't all that used at school and mobiles were giant bricks for dads. I don't know how I would have coped with it in todays day and age. Hope things even out for him!!

As for the blinds... sods law. The one day my buildings front door wasn't left unlocked even though it clearly states to keep it locked at all times.. well that was the day I got a delivery :( hope it turns up!! And they look amazing :D

Hope your night passes without incident.. much love xxx

  • I think it must be so hard to protect your children now there is internet etc. You want to give them freedom to interact with friends any way they please but it also lets in the bullies. My thoughts are with you Lucky.

I am so glad you have had a lovely weekend as a family. It is so important to have fun together. It helps with bonding and security. I know from just going out with OH yesterday that it helped both of us greatly.

Keep on being the wonderful person you are Lucky. You are doing so brilliantly regardless of all the challenges you face.

So sorry to hear life is a struggle at the mo. I would take someone with you if you feel that will help, it's up to the individual counsellor whether the person stays with you for the whole session, hopefully they will see the positive input of perhaps being there at the beginning at least .

    Take care

I echo those words ...... Message to DS1 - it is horrible now but as he grows up it will make him stronger, wishers with great compassion and empathy for others - superb qualities.

My biggest tip, is to make friends with the bullies as they are often the ones going through problems alone, unlike your son who has a loving family around him x
