Glad to hear about Mr Lucky still being seizure free and that some progress is being made with DS. Fab idea re the family night. If funds are low you could have, for example, a Mexican night where you cook Mexican themed food. When Mr SA was in hospital and I was fed up of everyone going on holiday except me I had a Spanish night and made a vegetarian paella, a jug of sangria and watched a Benidorm dvd - crazy I know but it lifted my spirits at the time.

Thank you Lilt, Grannyand SA. Your ideas for our Friday nights were exactly what I was thinking! I'm going to keep an eye on Gr0up0n and such like for random things that we can do on a budget so we don't get bored, but I'm really excited about it. Our normal swimming pool is closed Friday evenings, so we are going to a 'fun pool', which despite being more expensive (not hard when our normal pool only costs £2 for all of us!) should make for a great night.

Great idea for family time on Fridays. The boys are very MSE considering what they could have chosen! You have trained them well.

Glad the blinds look good - sometimes it's the little things. We've done a lot of decorating recently and it's about 95% done. Hoping hubby will put up the sidelights and hang pictures this weekend and then it will feel like home again

Good news re hubby and the seizures, fingers crossed these new meds are magic!

So sorry to hear Ds1 has been having troubles. I absolutely LOVE the idea of family night, I may well steal that idea for myself .


Only a flying visit as got to pick my7 Ds up from his three day residential and I am desperate to see him. So glad to hear Dh has been seizure free for a long time, long may it continue.

The first Family Fun Friday night was a roaring success! We had an awesome time at the swimming pool as it had all kinds of slides and play things. DH got a reduced rate and I went free as carer, so it ended up costing £9 for all of us which was better than I expected. Both boys loved it and said it was the 'best Friday ever'!!

Nicky, the blinds have made a massive difference. I definitely made the right decision in getting them, even if it did make us skint! I hope your DH gets all the jobs done this weekend so you can enjoy the end result.

Knit Witch/Levi, pizza is a good idea. I tend to forget that I can make it at home as I do it at work .

Lilt, I guarantee my bum is fatter than yours!! My neck seems a bit better today and I haven't had the pain from my jaw/ear/forehead today either. Hopefully whatever it was is clearing now. Hope yours is too.
