You have to do most of the work yourself, no one will have the time to deal with all four of these for you. That's why the NEWBIES sticky was written, as we are often overwhelmed with 'Help, I've got a PCN' and find it impossible to deal with everyone in depth. You have already said you haven't got a clue even after reading the NEWBIES sticky.

The added complication is that you have 4 PCNs between you, and each will need to be dealt with separately. We are all volunteers who give freely of our time to hundreds of people every week, so it's unlikely anyone can give you the level of support you seem to need.

Please be aware that PE are litigious and unless you tackle them head on and challenge these tickets, and especially with 4 of them, you are likely to have court papers served on you and if you find challenging the PCNs via the NEWBIES sticky difficult, developing court defences will be of a much greater magnitude. And if you lose in court you're looking at somewhere between £165 and £200 per ticket.

Parking Ticket Appeals service is one developed by a couple of regular posters from MSE (I have no vested interest), they come recommended, they know their stuff and they are successful. Suggest you open up dialogue with them.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Parking ticket appeals is fine for those who struggle with this process. It is not another scammer, and is fully above board - they've helped thousands.

But you should be ok now with that shortened 'soft appeal' - PE will know where it has originated from and most likely will cancel your charges.

Use the exact same appeal wording for each ticket.
  • Again thank-you Umkomaas, I really don't mean to offend and appreciate your advice whole heartedly.

    ezerscrooge thank you also.

I have copied it and will paste and send now for all 4 PCN's

massive thanks to all and I will of course keep you all updated with procedings. :j

Gordon Bennett surely people can shorten a template letter themselves? Just remove a paragraph of detail or use just part of it, how does it matter! Unbelievable you made NO attempt at it - ezerscrooge you are a lot more patient than I am.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

Yes Coupon-mad I could of shortened the template. My issue was I was unsure as to what to leave out/delete.

This is the 1st time I have ever had any form of ticket, and that includes speeding after over 30yrs on the road. I did try to digest all of the "NEWBIE" threads but surely you can agree its a hell of a lot of info, scenarios, laws and so on. I actually read to many of the threads and confused my own situation with others.

There is a lot of legal terms an so on. For me and a lot (probably) of the "NEWBIES" it is, and can be confusing. Unlike a seasoned pro like yourself.

I really do appreciate all the help/advice I have been given, so much so I have logged on to read through more of the info and posts so maybe after I understand it a lot more, I could repay the advice and help given to me by helping another "NEWBIE" on here or in day to day life, and maybe lighten the load on yourself. Dont worry I'm along way from giving any advice to anyone including myself:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Again I am really sorry for upsetting/trying the patience of anyone reading my posts, This was never my intention. I did try to help myself but felt I was going to make a pigs ear of it and needed more informed advice/help because after all I am a "NEWBIE" and that's Forum's included. Look at how much I've learnt since yesterday
  • You'll soon be knowledgeable on this (but it will take years to get to level of Coupon-Mad, Redx, Bargepole et al), and you'll find it gets quite addictive, especially the parking prankster blog.

You'll be amazed just how easy it is to beat these parasites, and you'll have little fear of them in the future. You'll laugh at their pathetic 'terms of parking' and the arbitary timescales and petty rules - all designed to fill their pockets with motorist's cash.

Lets hope Challenge the Fine is successful, it will wipe these companies out overnight, and teach the greedy and gullible landowners a hard lesson on who they jump into bed with.

  • Somehow I don't I will get anywhere near the knowledge and expertise of these kind people and that includes yourself ezerscrooge, but if I can help just one other poor motorist it will make my day and of course I would be straight on here to tell you all what a great job you do :-)

My missus received what she thought was yet another PCN today but this time I/we didn't panic. I just read it more closely an found it to be a reminder to pay a previous ticket already in the appeal stage.

Hopefully thats another postage cost to them.

    Happy days
