    I didn't realise council tax regulations were different in Scotland - surely they can only remove the single person discount for the length of time you weren't the only single occupier?

    Have you checked their website and/or the Council Tax regulations to check this?

    Yes, that is true on the single occupancy.
    It is the council tax reduction that has been removed.
    I suppose I am lucky they dident fine me for not notifying them!
