Hi beanie - belated happy birthday wishes and excellent news on the scooter!:T
Re the hair business - I totally agree with everyone here. I've never heard of such a thing! Call me old fashioned but a card and gift is enough. Things are getting ridiculous these days what with people getting in debt re hen weekends and weddings! A new theme seems to be a reveal party according to my friend who has informed me that her granddaughter has just had one. This is a party to announce the gender of your unborn child!:eek:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Enjoy your afternoon with the cats,
my favourite way to spend a rainy afternoon - cats, blanket & a book.
I don't like this baby shower & gender reveal stuff. I never had a baby shower with DS or my current pregnancy as don't see the point and we decided not to find out the gender either time before the birth, so no gender reveal party, which is also pointless in my opinion. A lot of people just seem to do it because they see other people doing it! :cool:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. That's a ridiculous idea about contributing towards the hair and meal as well as a present
It's getting too much as everyone says with baby showers and reveal parties. Where will it end  I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
My cousin had her gender reveal at her wedding reception... 2 birds I suppose :rotfl:
I'm not looking forward to winter as I don't like the cold and I get SAD
I'm glad you stood your ground with the birthday hair/present. I personally think it's ridiculous that that is expected.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
