  • Oh eek SL - well done!  I'm afraid I'm with Cheery though - it may be a draw between the bat and the moorhen - possibly the moorhen scrapes it for being both bigger and having lethally sharp claws AND a beak?!

Another late entry. A rat here. We were working outside and DH disturbed a nest and our girl swiped one and brought it home. Sadly DH had left the back door open or it would not have got through the cat flap (as it was enormous) I chased back and it was on the floor, playing dead with a very proud puss overseeing it. I had my thorn-proof gloves on. I scooped it up as it moved, and it squealed like a piglet then sank its teeth into the glove (moderately terrifying). I managed to get it out. It was about 30cm (a foot) long.

I have felt capable of almost anything, ever since!
    I feel sick.
    Well done you though!

I rescued a mouse from my cat, with bare hands unfortunately, it squealed and sunk its teeth into my hand. I couldn’t get it off, it was really painful.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
