Car Insurance sorted!! I've called them and made payment over the phone, paid for November and December £71.46, to make sure the account is up to date. So annoyed!!!! She wanted to charge me £20 for the payment being defaulted, I told her no way as this is NOT my fault, I changed my details, I got written confirmation that this had been done and they STILL tried to take payment from my old account. She cancelled the charge, removed the default and confirmed I don't owe anything now until the end of January.

This has made me determined to save up enough cash to pay it all in one go when it renews in July next year!! This is my first mini savings target, save £400 for 2015 car insurance renewal by July. Will add to signature.

No wonder YNAB is confusing me so much!! I've filled the budget it on the wrong month!! :rotfl: Instead of using Novembers pay for Decembers spends which is how it usually works, I've used Novembers pay and allocated them to Novembers budget, but I've already paid for those things, so now I have no income for Decembers budget, no wonder it keeps telling me I'm overspent!! Ugh. I'm not keeping it after the trial, its too complicated for my simple brain.

Wow, I posted A LOT yesterday, sorry about that.
Today's spends: £1 sandwiches for lunch
£2 on a jumper and cardigan in primark (I returned the work dress so only had to pay £2 towards it)
£13.05 on toiletries in savers, including dishwasher tablets and my toothpaste. I have to have specific toothpaste otherwise I get mouth ulcers, so that's usually £3/4, which is cheaper than getting it in prescription, but still aexpensive for toothpaste.
I've converted to savers own dishwasher tablets, id say they're as good as the finish ones, but they're only £1.59 for 30! I got two boxes to last us.
Had hubby's friend and her brother round for tea tonight which was lovely, knackered again now though so still no energy for putting the tree up. Definitely tomorrow! :D

Wow, it's Sunday already! I can't believe I haven't posted since Thursday. So weekend round up. Friday was pretty uneventful, horrible day at work, but only £2.40 spent on bus fare, then in the evening we finally put the Christmas tree up. I was at work on Saturday, so £2.50 on bus far, and £3.59 wasted on a horrible mMcDonald's breakfast, and £1spent in boots on sandwiches. I blame the breakfast on peer pressure, the boots sandwiches were planned spending, as boots always have reduced stuff on Saturdays.
Went to a colleagues birthday on Saturday night, neither of us drank so a grand total of £2.60 spent!
Today we have been to b and M to get light shades that we needed, also got plug in air freshener refills and nieces christmas present so hubby spent £23.46. Not too bad really.
Just making home made shortbread, never tried it before but had all of the ingredients in. We'll see how it turns out! Might make some for Christmas presents if it turns out ok.

So, I have only spent £1.90 today on lunch at work. It would have been a NSD but my manager was calling by the local bakery and I can never resist one of their special Christmas rolls. At least I've had one now.
Got a lift to work and hubby bought me home.
However, OH is sabotaging the low spending again. I asked him to pick up the grocery items I'd written on a list, 'sugar, potatoes and milk'. He spent £40. he took the Mr T vouchers with him, which I told him to use ONLY ON ITEMS THAT WE ACTUALLY NEED, and he ended up spending £40, 'but it would have been £60 without the vouchers'. we have 4 bars of chocolate, 12, yes TWELVE bottles of coke.... The list goes on....
That's not all!! He's spent £23 on pods for the bloody coffee machine, £30 on storage boxes that we were looking for yesterday but didn't get because they're clear plastic boxes that I DIDN'T want. And he's bought a Christmas jumper for a Christmas jumper day at work. I asked where from, he said 'the Internet'. I pointed out they have cheap Xmas jumpers in primark, and he said he didn't want one from there.
So all in all, more than £100 down the drain!!!!!! Why do I even bother.

AND, had a letter from stepchange, Halifax have rejected the payment offer. I also received a letter from Halifax, helpfully offering me 0% on balance transfers! So they won't help me pay off my existing debt, but they'll happily let me have more!!!!!!

Sorry for ranting, but it's not been a very good MSE or DFW day.

Some positive news though, the interest on my Nationwide credit card is now at £0, but the £10 payment I made hasn't made a difference because there's a £12 late payment fee been added.
    Current balances:
    Nationwide credit card £2414.66
Overdraft £1055 (a £2.99 payment has gone out to equifax, and I don't know what this is for)
Loan £1759.69. This hasn't gone up since my token payment so I assume the interest has also been frozen, but will have to call and check.
Halifax £1881.80, so no interest added (yet) sincsince my token payment.
    New total £7111.15.
