My Fonera+ router had a hiccup and there was no internet access from the private hot spot although you could connect to it OK. I did a reset to defaults and the private hotspot seems to be working OK again.
I can connect to the Fon hot spot but it has no internet access at all - no login page - nothing.
I tried to check my Fon account to see if it was showing as OK and find now that it gets a redirect to a BT page showing 404 errors in the text.
So - if anybody else runs a Fon hotspot is it working correctly and can you access your Fon account - https://corp.fon.com/en/login
It looks to me like BT are pulling the plug

Ahhh! It's not just me then.
I've tried two Fon routers and neither work as of last Thursday(ish)
I get exactly the same 404 error.0 -
I'm not sure when mine went wrong as I don't often use the private hotspot - I only run the thing to get Fon WiFi without having BT as my ISP.
Did your router mess up on the private hot spot too? Is it failing as a Fon hot spot too? Or are you just unable to access your Fon account?0 -
Another one here, cant log in at https://corp.fon.com/en/login just getting error 404 in the middle of the screen
the Private wifi side of the fonera is working well, but the BTFON side isnt connecting
private wifi working
Fon wifi dead
unable to log in.0 -

I couldn't get internet on the private (Myplace) or the Fon. The other odd thing is that I can't access either of my two Fonera+ routers using the admin log in and password, even after resetting them to factory settings with the red button underneath.
Like Richard above, I only keep it on so that I have access to other Fon hotspots. In the past when the Fon router has been offline for a couple of days or so, I have been sent an email telling me that I will lose access to the hot spots unless I turn it on again.
This hasn't happened yet and I can still use the Fon hotspots. Just as a test, I've just connected to my neighbour's BTFon hotspot across the road and am using it now.
I've emailed BT about the problem. It will be interesting to see what they say... if they say anything. I suspect that they will say that it isn't their problem as I'm not a BT broadband customer.0 -

I did that last week. They responded with instructions on how to log in to a BTFon hotspot.0 -

I sent a link out to the log in page and a short desciption - its gone to the fon team in Spain so not sure what if anything will come of it.0 -

I knew my modified login and Wifi passwords and realised that the reset wasn't resetting mine and checked out the correct procedure on the web - https://support.fon.com/hc/en-us/articles/200390842-How-do-I-restore-the-factory-settings-on-my-Fonera-
Thanks, I was referring to that page when I was trying to reset them, but this bit flummoxed me...If you press the button 30-60 seconds. The POWER light will go off for a short time, and the router will reboot. Please release the button the moment the POWER light goes OFF.
The power light went off before I got to 30 seconds so I wasn't sure whether to release then or wait for the full 30 secs. Tried both still no joy.0 -
I think the earlier bit is crucial..If you press the button for less than 30 seconds, the Fonera will just reboot, but not 'reset'.
There is all sorts of flashing and colour changing of most of the lights going on initially which I ignored. Then after maybe 30 seconds it sat with the power light on for a while and I released the reset immediately it went out after that initial period.
The instructions are poor but I persisted and did get mine to reset. I'm guessing the reason you can't get into yours is because you modded the password and have forgotten it.
All academic really as if BT/Fon have pulled the plug on network access there's little point running the thing anyway.0
