Any Foneros out there?

I guess we'll find out when they arrive. Not sure if you can just register it against an existing account or you have to set up a new one. Problem with existing accounts is they seem to just redirect to the duff BT page. I don't care about the old credit as I'm never likely to use it anyway and may just register a brand new account.0

The instructions/quick start form the Fonera+ show this ( in brief)
1: check you have all the bits ( la fonera/mains adapter cables etc )
2: plug it into the router and into the mains
3: Connect to the router via wifi by connecting to the My Place wifi signal, using the ssid/password shown on the base of the router
4: join the BT Fon Comunity: go to http://joinbtfon..fon.com
click on the register button to register the la fonera+
log on with your fon username and password, or if your not registered do so here
once logged in, or registered specify the location of your La Fonera+ in the form displayed0 -
Strange id.
Low post count.
Nonsensical post.
I thik you are correct so I'll mark some as :spam:
and all posted in a very short timescale - definitely a post building spambot0 -
Looks like enough people have done likewise.0

I reported one instead although the board mods are very slow to act so it may have been spammed out before they look.
It seems to repeat a small part of an earlier post. It's either very clever code picking out bits that make at least some sort of sense or a very unimaginative human.
One of the spams actually got a thanks and another was quoted and replied to0 -

Well that might actually be MY post #34 above.0 -
No. It had repeated a bit of an earlier post and that got the thanks. It may have been that one that was quoted and agreed with or it may have been another one - I'm guessing (hoping?) they've all gone by now.0

I just received discount code. I may hold off ordering until I know if they actually work.
My Fon account is still allowing me to access to BTFon hotspots. The car broke down this morning in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't get a phone signal but managed to find and log in to a BTFon wifi signal using a high gain adapter.0 -
It looks like a slight error on my part in that link, it should read as http://joinbtfon.fon.com
As for my old account it still appears to be allowing me to log on to other fon spots/bt fon/ etc although I vaguely remember reading that the account is only downgraded once a month has passed since Fon last detected the foneras heartbeat.
The only reason I realised there was a problem was when I tried to log into my Fon account here https://corp.fon.com/en/login which incidentally is still down
With Three about to pull the plug on tethering i can see Fon being of more use, coupled with a high gain wifi antenna0
