Afternoon/evening all!
We got our new curtains, but they weren't the ones I'd reserved, as they turned out to be hideous in real life, so we ended up getting some which we both love but which are unfortunately not thermal lined! So now I need to try and find some interlining or thick thermal lining fabric of some description that fits our 90/90" and 90/72" curtains, as I'm struggling to find anything other than 54" wide at the moment! And I don't think it would work to stitch two pieces together as it will be noticeable, so now I'm a bit stuck! I also don't want to pay out another £55 on top of the ridiculous amount already spent today so ready-made options are out. So much for DH saying he'd sort it out himself... :rotfl:
Emma, thanks for the hints and tips, Iceland is on the possible agenda for some time around the start of next year if all goes according to plan with getting our house sorted. I've saved your links, so fingers crossed
Dunelm sell the thermal lining fabric just hem sides and bottom and add curtain header. I bought some really reduced cream curtains from Argos to use as liners in one room. Also I have ring top curtains in lounge and ordered linings from next. They come with clear rings to attach to header tap. Another time I will just use shower curtain rings as not on show.
Worth pricing up the fabric in dunelm. If you find the right width you can have cut to length in store. Ideal if not a lot of room at home to lay out and cut.

Round trip to Bedford to see Dad and his is declining. Made him a cuppa and he didn't drink it. That is not him at all. Left feeling very sad.
Visited ds2 at his shop to house conversion. Had footings checked and given permission to build a second storey so will be 3 bedrooms upstairs and a study/4th bedroom downstairs. Shop didn't look much but now knocked through it is huge.
Then spent a couple of hours with dd and dgd. Shattered doesn't cover how I feel.
Emma glad you had a nice time. Would love to see the northern lights ever since I saw Phil and kirsty to do it on their travel show.

Hi everyone. I have not started on the Quidco Xmas thing yet. Can someone point me to a list of the cheap items to buy please as I need to spend £100 for work at Argos and thought I could then get other bits free with the bonus.
Thanks,
Hi there
I bought a pack of decoration hangers for £1 from b&q c&c
Halloween socks from top man (reduced in sale) free delivery
Pack of assorted coloured pens £1.19 staples c&c
Bath glow light £2 maplins (stocking filler for niece who loves lights)
4 packs of scented loom bands for £1 from The Works c&c
Choccy from Hotel Chocolate £1.95 (treat for me as I love the stuff)
2 wine flutes on sale in Homebase to match some I got in Sale last Xmas £2.98 c&c
You could do it cheaper but I got stuff I wanted anyway0 -

Huge hugs VMaybe just a down day for your Dad? Although I expect you'll know in yourself if he is declining.
Hope you manage to get a good nights sleep. I have been sleeping terribly lately and it's an absolute killer!0
