I don't know if it's a good or bad sign that I have absolutely no idea who or what they or it are:):o

If you need a cheap external hard drive and are a little computer-savvy (it's really easy to do), it's worth checking out freecycle or fleabay for 'not working' PCs; if they have a hard drive in, you can remove it, buy a case and leads for around a tenner, and you've got yourself an external hard drive. I had an old non-working computer (fried motherboard) and cannibalised it for the hard drive, which I still use for backups. The hard drives for PCs tend to be higher-spec and therefore more reliable than the ones use for external hard drives.

They are 2 young lads that sang a catchy song on BGT about bullying.

Of course you can hire a car and explore some of these places yourselves(1). When we go back my mate has offered to drive so I'll be looking into prices soonish.
Also, if you go whale watching, book direct with Elding if you can. Our tour was £42 which again was reasonable compared to other companies. Sadly we didn't see anything on our tour(2) but were given a complimentary ticket to return next time and try again.
    1. Despite my near-death experience I can really recommend hiring a car to explore for yourself
    2. Neither did we:(

Your lovely photos and excellent write-ups make me want to arrange a return trip:T
I had a brilliant time (I do like a hot spring:D especially when accompanied by an ice-cold lager), as did you obviously, but there were some personal reasons for the first visit which I'd have to think through before returning.

PS, your new avatar looks great:)

Yeah, but that's a quite normal thing to do occasionally and not stupidity. (Then again I only say that because I've done something similar:o:o:rotfl:)
So it's not just me, then?:D When I go on holiday I hide my car keys in a secret hiding place, but one time for some reason one time I put them in another super-secret hiding place. When I got back off holiday, could I remember where I'd hid my car keys? Could I fairy cakes:rotfl:

  • How's yourself, QoC?:)
Been a rather strange few days for me.
    Oh dear, how so?
Big family get-together at a restaurant on Thursday evening for a landmark birthday (not mine), which ended up with someone rushed to hospital (not me, and not self-inflicted or alcohol-related); thankfully all OK now, but I'd just like to pay tribute to the restaurant staff and particularly the emergency services who were spendidly spectacularly superb:T:T:T Whatever they are getting paid, when I rule the country as a benign dictator (and my time is coming soon:)) they will get whatever they want.
But, a bit of a 'memento mori' moment
