I notice I'm a diehard moneysaving devotee now - when did that happen?!?

After my failed attempt at a "Cheerios" shop earlier or, rather, a successful attempt - as it succeeded in being an attempt and didn't complete an actual shop - I decided to do a different shop later and got the Thorntons cake. :eek:Quite a risk I though - everyone here will already know it's showing OOS for T in and out on msm. I don't know how long it's been showing that. Still working as of tonight though - that's 90p I would never have spent at all if I had not seen it on this thread:rotfl:.

It was a early Christmas treat - a surefire way of spending more money than sense:rotfl::rotfl:. I need to lower my expectations about what this will turn out to be though. Pretty small cakes aren't they? I would have expected one twice that size for that amount of money. Clearly I'm on another plane of ideas as to how much things cost compared to the rest of society!

    You watching the darts FC?
Must admit it's not overly exciting me this evening :o
Might have to dig out some 10p's for the jukebox at this rate!

Yes...and likewise. And tomorrow Im going to have to record it  hate watching it on record. But Im a Celebrity is starting. Something I might or might not watch, given a choice. For some unknown reason it's the only programme all year round that DS2 wants to watch with me :D he insists, just me and him which pleases me very much. We have proper conversations about it and it's very special :o
Just a bit inconvenient for it to start on the last night of the darts
  • Can anyone advise about ebay please? I sold an item on the 2nd November and posted it on the 3rd. Now the buyer has opened a case as she hasn't received it but she never contacted me prior to this. Should I just refund her as I have the proof of posting so should be able to claim from Royal Mail or will Royal Mail want me to allow more time? TIA
I had a similar-ish experience about a year ago; sent an item by Recorded Delivery, the buyer contacted me to say they hadn't received it (they were really nice about it), I got in touch with Royal Mail (by phone) and they told me it had been left at another house, described where it was and even emailed a photo the postie had taken of the house, I told the purchaser the exact address (using Street View) and they went to collect it; very naughty of the people who accepted delivery, though ... obvious they were hoping to keep it:mad:

We had Union J do the ones here. There went fireworks but there was lots of lighting and noise- we could hear the concert from here. Shame it wasn't a good band :rotfl:

Hope you manage to find them :)

Normally can hear fireworks here but not the group.

Think it was Bob the builder last year  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Aww bless that's lovely :A

I'll be sure not to come wading in with any spoilers then ;)
I have a feeling it's going to be another yawn fest though the way things are going. Although I do hope I'm wrong!

I have indeed...ive even had the bottoms of the chairs off too...
Going to start looking again tomorrow,I think its just a case of hopefully systematically going through each room ....

I'm not overly bothered about the phone, thats easily replacable but the watch was quite sentimental...and I know OH is quite cut up about it too,I happened to comment on it being my first gift to him,for his eyes to glaze over and sadly say "i know".

I so want to find it in the house but I'm beginning to wonder if its slipped off somewhere else,he has a habit of fiddling with the catch and it not being secure on his wrist.

I do hope you find it.

    Sending positive thoughts :A
  • Good evening all

I am sure I am being a bit dense, but can anyone let me know how do I enter bank account details for Quidco payments?

    Thanks in advance :)
