I hope you're not away for too long, purely selfishly of course because you're like one of the backbones of this thread and it's weird without you :)

Pointless was ace. We got to hold the trophy. It's weenie. I got a Pointless answer on the first round so I was chuffed. They allow them a lot more time to think of answers than you see on TV. Ours was an author 'celebrity' special. Xander and Richard are such pros and very funny, the show works like clockwork, only a handful of pickups to do, smashing :D

Also Richard used the F word and I was quite taken aback, don't know why :rotfl:

    I agree about FC

Pleased you had a good time Em x

Thank you Emma :) I will be back. My OH is having a truly awful time at the moment so I need to deal with that. I am also behind on uni work and have worked way to hard to let it slip. This place has been an absolute haven to me at times, but I also get sucked in. So I've been ignoring you all :o As soon as we get back on our feet, I'll be back.

Did you get any pics? :D

Just nipped on to see if anything was glitching.....Im going to As tomorrow :j

I agree with you but for different reasons. This installation was out there to commemorate a time in history that none of us should forget and it has done that in a very powerful way. I think the short-livedness of it is so powerful.

I have by no means read all posts tonight.....I've skipped through. I did note that the majority are about animals and fireworks though. I have a host of animals as you all know, with varying reactions to fireworks.....but we cope.

I have however tonight drove my OH 45 miles to a 'safe place' that a wonderful organisation here provide for ex-servicemen who are transported back to the battlefield on bonfire night :( in a very bad way.

I agree about animals, but why do people get angry? We all acquire pets knowing that there will be nights that people use fireworks and we have to deal with it. No-one ever thinks of people that are affected :(

All that said, I love fireworks and so do my children. My OH insists, despite what he goes through that I take the kids to the display and I did. They take pictures and he loves looking at them after. It's the noise that affects him.

Anyway I didn't find any glitches on my skip you miserable lot :p I have however in 2 days earned my £50 quidco Cashback :j:j I never bought one thing that wasn't on my Xmas list or I didn't need anyway  I actually think £50 CB on £100 spend (I spent £109) is very generous indeed!

    :)

What an excellent organisation that must be :T

Hope your OH is ok FC

Eighth Anniversary 10,000 Posts Combo Breaker
Oops, missed one! The Lenor Fabric Conditioner, Summer Breeze 76 washes is showing comparable (which means nothing regarding APG as the prices are from instore) between A and M on msm.co.uk, even though m.com says 1.7L. I have just slipped this onto the M list, as it awaited further checking. It turns out it is 1.9L in M instore, same as what is showing on msm. Should, in theory, be working already as this was available on Monday at the £2.62 M price (A not 10% cheaper). For those, perhaps, who missed the Comforts with points in M (vsA).

Nice you found time to pop in.

I agree and remember you mentioning your OH and bonfire night last year. Unfortunate that these will be reappearing until New Year.
I used to live in a village many years ago with a lovely idea for the 5 th. Local shop didn't sell fireworks and the whole village attended the display put on at a local pub by the scouts. All over in one night.

I do love seeing fireworks but prefer seeing them at Disney where they are really mind blowing.
someone mentioned low noise fireworks, I really hope they catch on and maybe the government limits the sale to these one day to spare the distress many have suffered over the years..
Not been noise here tonight but big show on at cricket club over weekend. Mile away but can guarantee my driveway will be blocked all evening and probably the following day for those who have a pint or two.

I have done 6 of my quidco and nothing I wouldn't have bought anyway, just utilising the extra cash back. Even d's birthday card sorted.
6 to go but need to go through mums online shopping list for Xmas first.
Not even trying to keep close to the £100 as I don't have many opportunities for c and c. 5 have tracked so far.

My bmf is coming over tomorrow to see if the Dell mum gave me can be saved. He is also going to sort out problems on mums new pc and take the photos of d's old I phone to store so mum can start using it.
Have to make a coffee cake and part with a couple of bottles of Hardy from Morris in return.

Excuse the typing, trying to get use to keyboard on my new tablet.
