Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
Welcome back FizzWhizz, your holiday sounds wonderful! roguey - loving the nail colours, I struggle to find time to do my own so like living vicariously through this thread!
I have some UUs:
9/273. Sanctuary Body Butter 100ml - WDBA, love this stuff.
10/274. Cussons Mum & Me Sleep Tight Baby Bath 50ml - this did the job (as shower gel) but wouldn't go out of my way to buy again. Several more left.
11/275. MAC Prep & Prime Skin Base 6ml - freebie and WNB, didn't seem to do a great deal other than leave my skin feeling greasy and looking very sparkly!
My S&G Hand Food mini is spluttering and in need of cutting open soon, which I'm disproportionately thrilled about :j
Pleased to report I resisted the QVC even though I REALLY REALLY REALLY want some PCMC. Have so much face moisturiser to get throguh first. May treat myself after Christmas. Been waiting for a good Debenhams GWP deal but not seen one for a long time.MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
Morning everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. Have a couple of UU's to report:
- Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream: I go backwards and forwards with liking this. The colour is good, it gives me just enough coverage and it has high SPF but it doesn't really last on the skin enough and I'm oily by lunch time. Have a mini one in the stash that I might use next summer.
- Sally Hansen Nail Polish remover: Did the job, WBA.
And I have a few In's to report:
- UD De Slick Spray: replacement for the one I used up
- UD All nighter spray: bought the mini travel one just to see how it is and will be taking it on holiday with me
- Full size OPI from BB
- Dr Jart Cleansing Foam from BB
- Lanolin lip balm from BBEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Resisting Body Shop today. They have £25 off £50 and have gotten their Christmas range in. I intend to get a couple of things as Christmas presents, and will get that African Honey foot butter and some more shower gels (which I use as bubble bath) to bring it up to the required amount but I will wait until December I promise!
UU for me:
NSpa Shea body butter. WBA. With the exception of the peach, I like all of the NSpa butters. Body Shop Fijan water lotus is my favourite but I'll definitely get another NSpa at some point to alternate as it's cheaper.
Also, what do you guys mean by micropedi? I have a pumice-stone, and a foot filer. I use the pumice stone in the bath, and then the filer once I'm out as my feet have been soaking for at least 30mins at that point. Is a micropedi something more... vigorous?Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

I slightly foozled on this. When son burned his arm, one medic told us to use simple soap Only for the next few months. So I rounded up the remnant bars & gave them to a crafting friend, fired up the computermabob, found the simple stuff seriously cheap on promotion at Morrisons & quietly acquired a few bars.
Within days he was put onto a prescription specialist unguent. We now have I'd guess about a years worth of soap stored. Ah well...0 -
It's lovely to see you, Pickle! Wishing you a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :bdaycake:
DigForVictory - I love the word foozled. I've not come across it before
Welcome back from your hols, Fizz
I have quite a few UU to report but am just popping on here to say that I bought the BBB Dreambox 2. I managed to resist the great Elemis TSV (I was sorely tempted...) and the Glossybox/Harvey Nics collab but I've been a long-time BBB reader and it looked fun/interesting/good value. It's 18 INs though! I also bought a long lambswool cardi on eBay yesterday so I'm clearly not managing a No Buy November0 -
Philip Kingsley conditioner - very impressed by this little tube but I won't repurchase. Haircare is something I don't tend to splurge on.
Elemis PCMC - down to the last pot and after researching the Elemis kits on offer at the moment it looks like MrM will succumb to buying the TSV because of the value. Unless of course there is a fabulous discounted offer that comes up before then.
Take care ladies. Am logging off to repaint my finger nails. Think I'll use OPI Scores a Goal.
x
Am shamelessly requoting myself as I want to add :-
Re: the conditioner. I am hopeful that I have talked Santa (aka MrM) into buying me some of this as he commented on how soft my hair felt when I used it. I know I said I don't splurge on haircare but I don't mind splurging by proxy :rotfl:
I also talked him out of buying the Elemis TSV. Looked in my stash and still have 2 x each of the bottles of Jasmine & Rose milk bath and the Nourishing shower cream. He was still saying the value was good but have asked him to just buy me one or two pots of PCMC instead. Was getting a little jittery when I tuned in yesterday evening to see it still in stock. Had to change channels. Unfortunately, I then put on a prerecorded Yankee Candle hour and ended up ordering candles instead. Anyone fancy setting up a No More Candles Challenge thread?Evening ladies. Another shower this morning and the Aussie conditioner still splutters on...........
I'm feeling rather disheartened today.I'm also feeling the urge to splurge: Gok's Gorgeous range doesn't seem to be in Boots this year and I only have a very small amount of the body butter left. It has become my fave and I don't want to be without it.
Another UU for me in the shape of Aussie Beach Mate Shampoo. Went on a tube/bottle cutting frenzy yesterday when cleaning the bathroom and threw away a NO 7 blusher that had broken up and a can and bottle of Toni & Guy hairspray and finishing spray. Had been sitting there for yonks with no-one using them.
Sorry about the Gok range Babafette. I hate it when this happens. I wish I had some in my stash as I'd offer it to you. Nobody here absolutely loves Elemis Jasmine & Rose, Nourishing Shower Cream, Frangipani shower cream and Monoi oil do they?city_girl_258 wrote: »I am also re-purposing a body product I just don't use.
Dalmacija No 5 body mask - you're supposed to put it on all over your body 10-15 mins before a shower/bath and then wash it off but who's got time for that?! I certainly don't in the morning. It was a TK Maxx bargain which is why I bought it in the first place but it's being repurposed as an overnight foot cream so we'll see how that goes.
Also re-purposing my BS coconut shimmer body butter as it's WAY too coconutty for a full body moisturise...you could smell me a mile off so I might use this as a foot cream too or just use on the bottoms of my legs rather than whole body.
I did this yesterday with some conditioners that I was given as freebies on our cruise. Chucked half a tube into the washing machine drawer however it doesn't seem to have gone anywhere ! Oops. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I find that if I file my feet and then soak them, I get better results. After they've soaked for a bit I scrub them with a foot scrub and then towel off and apply foot butter.
The micropedi is an electronic foot file/buffer, like a belt sander but for your feet.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
As hoped, I managed to get rid of another item today using my local f*cebook selling group. A Dr Renaud exfoliating cream, sold it for £3 - think I only paid £2 something for it on a clearance shelf anyways.
So I'm happy0 -
VALM - I love the Elemis Frangipani range and really wanted to try the Jasmine and Rose bath but didn't want to buy the set just for that. I love the Gok range too, I wonder what has happened to it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Sundaysgirl wrote: »8/272. Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3 487ml - WMBA (though never in this size - a real LHJ and the bottle took up sooo much space) but think I'm going to try something new next. VALM recommended the Elemis one to me a while ago if I recall correctly (and she seems to have similar skin to me based on the products that do/don't work for her) so I might treat myself to that in the new year. For now I will work on finishing off the 60ml version of the Clinique from my travel bag, already in use.
It's the Elemis Lime Blossom Balancing Cleanser that I like. I have an oily Tzone and normal skin elsewhere - rarely suffer with dry skin on my face - and this cleanser helps with the oiliness a lot.city_girl_258 wrote: »
Clinique dramatically different moisturiser - WNBA - got this free from Glamour mag a few months ago...(didn't we all?!) i wouldn't go out my way to buy it but it wasn't bad.
I've just finished another one of these GWP tubes and know there is another lurking in my stash. I like it though do prefer Liz Earle Skin Repair as a night cream.
Have just opened a Clinique Moisture Surge which is a bit oily though TBF I think I've been applying too much.I have a couple of uu
Elemis Lime Blossom Balancing Cleanser - WBA and have actually replaced it with another one. The only downside to it is the pump bottle which is great till you get down to the last couple of inches.
.
I know what you mean. This was one of the bottles that I hacked open yesterday and am now scooping loads out to UU.
I actually triple cleansed yesterday! Applied this first and left it a while whilst I started cleaning the bathroom. Rinsed. Spotted the sachet of the new Elemis cleanser and cut that open. Applied that which did not have enough in it to be applied all over my face. Cut open the bottle of Lime Blossom and applied that too. Can't say it made that much difference :rotfl:Am so glad that I didn't fall in love with that new cleanser though.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
