    UU

7/271. Sannctuary Mande Lular Body Souffle - WDBA, HG but more stashed.

8/272. Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3 487ml - WMBA (though never in this size - a real LHJ and the bottle took up sooo much space) but think I'm going to try something new next. VALM recommended the Elemis one to me a while ago if I recall correctly (and she seems to have similar skin to me based on the products that do/don't work for her) so I might treat myself to that in the new year. For now I will work on finishing off the 60ml version of the Clinique from my travel bag, already in use.

UU - Garnier – Moisture Match Normal Skin

Working on using up my cheaper nail varnishes by doing them as often as I can remember to and will throw any that aren't any good.

TA - Collection 2000 – Manicure 'French Pink'
WNBA! This is supposed to be a '5 day wear' polish. I put it on yesterday. One thumb came off in the bath, and one when I was doing the washing up... Just the thumbs. So I took it off last night and decided to get rid of it today. Useless.. Although that could be where it's about ten years old!

  • GA:
Marocija No 5 Body treatment mask - tried to repurpose this as foot cream but because it's a mask that's supposed to be rinsed off it just left the insides of my socks all grubby. GA to a friend who says she'll give it a go. Smells lovely just won't get used at my house.

Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow palette - Also gave away to my friend. I haven't used this and I don't think i ever will. Got some nice neutral shades in it but i just don't wear eyeshadow anymore so someone else may as well get the benefit.

L'oreal telescopic mascara in brown - never used, got this free from a mag ages ago. Also given to my friend to try.

    UU:
Aubrey calming moisturiser - WNBA - was nowhere near moisturising enough for me. Didn't increase the redness on my cheeks but didn't decrease it either.

Clinique dramatically different moisturiser - WNBA - got this free from Glamour mag a few months ago...(didn't we all?!) i wouldn't go out my way to buy it but it wasn't bad.

Versace bright crystal EDP - Really liked this scent, but there's so many other perfumes to try I doubt i'll be buying again for a while.

    TA:
Aubrey calming toner - WDNBA - this was HIDEOUS. So much so I had to chuck it away. I've persevered but the smell is so awful and it's possibly one of the most drying toners i've ever had. So bad I wouldn't wish it upon anyone so unfortunately it's been thrown in the bin.

So a few movements which is always good! I like to de-clutter, which is probably why I enjoy this thread so much...along with all you lovely ladies of course:)

I have a couple of uu

Elemis Lime Blossom Balancing Cleanser - WBA and have actually replaced it with another one. The only downside to it is the pump bottle which is great till you get down to the last couple of inches.

Body Shop Peppermint Foot Lotion - WBA, this is lovely stuff, I originally bought it to use in summer after running and it is very soothing.

Have you tried the intensive foot rescue? Do you know how this compares? I have really awful thick clumps of dry skin that I've been trying to get rid of for years and no amount of moisturising and filing seems to be doing it :(

I have a couple of IN's to declare. Was £2 short of £100 for the Boots points evening so bought a couple of Imperial Leather shower gels.

Fear I may be on the REALLY naughty step after tonight though, as QVC have a fab Elemis Special Value on, tempted to get 2. :(

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.
  • Hola Beauty Queens

How the devil are you all?! I am back from hols, I've been working like a lunatic since my return, hence the lack of posts, but I finally have a weekend which is relatively quiet so I thought it was about time I updated. I have kept a good track of my INs but might have missed a UU or three so I think I may need to have a recount sometime soon.

Dubai was wonderful :) We spent a week lying beside the pool in almost 40 degree sunshine, reading books, drinking cheap booze and eating tons of yummy food. I haven't felt so well-rested in all my days. Time to start saving hard for a repeat performance next year ;)

Here's what I've ploughed through since I last saw you all…

Micro Dermabrasion scrub; WDNB, came in my Birchbox, it felt like rubbing broken glass into my face. The scrubby particles are olives stone shards and it was so rough, I wouldn't even have used it on my feet. FLING!
Osmo Colour Save shampoo and conditioner; WNBA, these were… ok, sulphate and silicone free but the shampoo left my hair a bit rough and the 'dish wasn't rich enough for me. I prefer Tresemme Naturals; they're cheaper and three times the size.
Sanex Derma Invisible roll on; WBA on offer
Lacura Clear roll on; WDBA, really liked this, and a bargain at 59p
Dove Original Cream Bar x2; WDBA, HG
Nice n Easy Semi Permanent in Black; WDBA, HG
S&G The Righteous Butter mini; WNBA, like the formulation but not a fan of the smell and it definitely lingers. I have one more which I will UU but will not repurchase.
Dove Pomegranate and somethingorother Body Wash; WNBA, I have UU two different 'flavours' of this now and while both smell lovely in the bottle, they're not so nice in use. Lathered well and did the job but my nose didn't appreciate them.
Garnier Body Tonic Firming Hydrating Body Lotion; WNBA, bought this for a quid ages ago, it has a nice citrusy smell and absorbed quickly but dried down to a very silky finish which made my skin feel a bit… squeaky?! Hard to explain but I didn't enjoy the sensation.
17 Liquid Liner; WNBA, this is a bit of a stash relic, nice enough product but I don't have a steady enough hand or a smooth enough eyelid for liquid liner any more. This 'getting old' malarkey is crap :p
No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser; WNBA, can't remember if I've already declared this TBH, loved the packaging but was underwhelmed with the product. I'm back on the Superdrug Naturally Radiant one now and much prefer it.

    And here are the INs…
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack; using up the leftover dirhams at Duty Free, I love this, I've had it before but didn't get on too well with it as I was using a small angled brush and generally made a mess. This time though, I have been using a tiny fine point paintbrush that I got at Hobbycraft and it's brilliant. I feel as though I have finally cracked the gel liner skill and I'm proud of myself :D Stays all day and doesn't smudge or flake, also makes an excellent base for a super dark smokey eye.
17 Stay All Day concealer; this seems ok thus far, a tiny bit creasy under my eyes but lasts well and reblends with a bit of a dab from my beauty blender mid-afternoon. No dupe for my EL double wear concealer but considering the price it's pretty good.
17 Waterproof mascara; utter rubbish. Didn't offer any additional length or volume, no matter how many coats I added but worst of all, it isn't even waterproof! Just sweating beside the pool was enough to make it run  FLING!
17 Felt Tip Liner; again, utter rubbish. Streaky, hard to apply over eyeshadow (ended up patchy grey instead of black) and really stung my normally 'tough' eyes. FLING!
Lacura Aqua Complete Moisturiser; these were being sold off for 89p in my Aldi -- What more can you ask?!
Lacura Eyeliner in Emerald; special buy this week, lovely colour, doesn't stick too well in the waterline but nice to smoke out the under eye. So far so good.

And finally, these are a few of my favourite things (this month)they're all still on the go but I felt the deserved an honourable mention, plus y'know this post just isn't anywhere near long enough already :o
LRP Anthelios XL Cream Foundation SPF 50+; this was brilliant :D gave good coverage, didn't look as orange as I feared it might as long as I used a light hand and blended well, but best of all it helped keep my moustache at bay!
Imperial Leather Foamburst shower gel in blackberry and wild fig; this is now my HG shower product. Love love love the scent, love love love the foam and the feel, love love love the fact it's just as nice as my Rituals foaming shower gel but it's roughly a quarter of the price if you buy when on offer (and it so often is)
L'Oreal GlamBronze; the combination of the LRP foundation on top of Soltan Once SPF50 meant my face didn't tan AT ALL on hols. This is perfect for matching my face to my chest, plus it's completely matte.
L'Oreal Infallible Foundation; this stuff is IMMENSE, easily the best high street foundation I have ever used. Lasts so, so well and gives a lovely matte finish. Moisturise well before applying if you're dry skinned though.
MAC 217 Brush; another Duty Free purchase, I have hankered after this for so long and have spent an embarrassing amount of ££ trying to find a cheap dupe -- I wish I'd just sucked it up and bought the original at the start. Blends like no other.

And that's it! I'll try to read back and catch up suffice it to say, I hope you're all happy, healthy and behaving yourselves! :) xx

I love these too. The original ones from about 15 years ago were amazing and rather unsurprisingly I still have a couple in the stash. :D

The Aussie conditioner is practically empty now but still not quite finished. I have sloshed some water in the bottle but am going back to London for a few days so won't be taking it with me otherwise it will no doubt leak in my bag. At least I will have a use up to declare more or less as soon as I get back. I'm not doing too well so far this month.
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

    Two UUs for me...

Herbal Essences hello hydration shampoo - I like the way this range leaves my hair but trying to stick to more animal friendly approved brands so probably won't buy this again for now.

Clinique face scrub - little freebie bottle from a magazine, used it up but didn't wow me.
