Lexbubbles - I haven't used the intensive foot cream. I don't have any hard skin despite running many miles a week but that may be down to using foot cream most days in summer and every day in winter. Flexitol heel balm is supposed to be very heavy duty so it may be worth looking into that.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Thanks guys. I first remember noticing it when I was about... 12? 13? It's never gotten any better. ALTHOUGH TO BE FAIR it's never gotten any worse, either.Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

I'd definitely invest in a micropedi. I get hooves from teetering in 4 inch heels around the office 60 hours a week and this plus lashings of whatever foot cream is going really does keep them in check. I notice a huge difference when I stop for a week or two.0 -
I second the micropedi and lashings of any cream rubbed in for hard skin on feet. Don't apply it at night as it gets all over the sheets when socks work off, as they can do. Plus if sock elastic is tight that's not great for circulation and swollen ankles.
I have had no hard skin problems at all since I removed existing hard skin with the micropedi and applied a cream religiously each morning to all of my feet. I recommend soaking your feet to soften hard skin before using the micropedi, just warm water does it, but you can add something if you wish. Filing without soaking is far less effective.
It only takes seconds to moisturise feet each morning , pop your socks or tights on and let the warmth of your feet work with the cream to keep you moisturised all day.
It doesn't have to be a specialist foot cream or one for hard skin to get good results.
Unless it's split, every unwanted moisturising substance I have had has been re-purposed for foot cream in recent years.
This keeps creams out of landfill, saves money and helps keep the stash down.
I went round Poundland for the first time in a year today and resisted temptation for me, but they have a good range of Original Source hand washes and shower gels. I got two gels for DS's stocking, black mint and a chilli pepper one. I saw lemon and lime, and raspberry and vanilla as well, the latter in both handwash and shower cream.
I love the raspberry & vanilla, luckily I am using the raspberry and cocoa shower gel at the moment, which smells exactly like Raspberry Ruffle chocolates, so I was able to resist temptation.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Another item gone today...
Thankfully a sale! Sold a tr*semme detangle spray for £1, I think this was discontinued? It just sat on my shelf so I thought I might as well see if anyone wanted it. Lady picked it up tonight, so I'm pleased with that.
Should be selling another item tomorrow too for £3
More space on my shelves and money made for buying my first home - lovely!0 -
Nice one alja!
I only have one thing to declare.
UU – Clarins – Tonic Bath and Shower Concentrate
WBA if I could afford it! :P To be honest I'll probably just stick with Radox as the OH uses that as well so it's one less bottle clogging up the shelves.New to this money saving lark. Any tips greatly received.
