I'm the same, I love having a good selection of stuff around me. Last night I cracked open my new S&G Shower Butter and Smoothie Star body lotion and they are gorgeous, they don't have the pink scent, the shower butter is pistachio and almond and my first though was I need to get a spare one of each of these in the stash .
    .
Exactly how I work and in some cases I really want a back up of a back up, just in case.

sam.4000 - I recognise this element of your life in myself. I too like having variety to choose from and get bored slogging along through some LHJ's, the trouble is that I also carry this through to clothes, shoes and you should see my Armageddon food stores:eek::rotfl: (We don't mention nail polish either:rotfl::rotfl:)

Funding the above is not a problem and I do use absolutely everything (eventually), but for some reason I now feel the need to simplify life and perhaps have less but better things around me.

Whilst OH and I are certainly not extreme hoarders, we do fall into the "keep it, it may come in handy" category, yesterday we filled one box for the CS and as another wet day is here, we will continue today:D

Will you still "pop in and see us" from time to time?

    Have a good weekend everyone:)

I have a feeling in the New year I will be back whyen I have stocked up, not that I really need to.
Not totally toiletries related but just been logging all the seeds I have for growing next year 170 plus packets:eek::eek::eek::eek: just how many years are those going to take me to get through. Granted most of them cost 10p and friends and family grab me some too when they see them reduced. So far I seem to have a problem with storing, not hoarding:p

    Toiletries
Seeds, plant pots, labelling bits, canes and string
    Staionary
Alcohol- always wise to have plenty of that in I say
    Chocolate- likewise lol
    Shoes

Trouble is all these things can be so expensive, I hate paying full price for things and when they are reduced to stupid prices I stockpile one or two:money:Its kinda hard to know what's a sensible number to last until the next bargain isn't it! Oh dear what are we going to do with ourselves:eek::eek: Lol its no wonder I never feel like there's anything worth spending my money on, I have it already, so I 'store' my wages too:beer:
Yes I know the feeling, mine are:
    toilet roll
    candles
I do have a very well stocked pantry
  • So glad its not just me, just nearly had a panic run out of Options moment lol of course we had 2 stashed, brought when they were half price:money:Even the dogs food is stashed..I'll be ok if rationing every comes back!

Anyone started their Christmas list yet? I always struggle with it being quite close to my Birthday, in that I have my list exhausted in October. We don't have a lot of room for stuff so I always like useful stuff but no ones budget quite streches to a new kitchen or bathroom which is what we really need I say. I often put gift vouchers on my list but I'm yet to ever receive one. Just interested to see what others lush after...if I win the Christmas Eve Lottery, mine's a house by the sea:j Otherwise I'll probably be outside LUSH at opening time on Boxing Day:eek::eek:
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

Thank you Babafette for starting us off.

I have been AWOL main reason being is that I have come to the conclusion that I will never use up my stuff and I like to have a selection of products to choose from. I am always going to buy thing on offer and I really enjoy it. I like buying new things and trying them out. I love parcels arriving and enjoy opening them. I don't worry about money, I don't have debts and I am good with what I earn. I am tight with most things and very rarely spurge money on anything unless it is beauty/ body related and even then most will be a deal or offer except Lush and really I just can't resist that.

If I am really honest I want all of Philosophy's Christmas shower gels, yes I may have several other bottles in a variety of scents and I will wait till the sales and stock up on philosophy shower gels then.

I am already saving for Lush's only sale and I will spend alot but in my eyes it is the only time I will get it at half price.

I am due about 9 beauty boxes this month and do not want to have to justify it. I know the naughty spot is only a giggle but I have come to the conclusion that having a beauty stash will always be part of me.

I completely agree with all of this. For me, it's about trying to simplify. I do have debt and spending money is my comfort blanket. At one point it was products, now it's more food. My pantry and freezer are full to bursting, I have more body lotion than I could use in years and as for jewellery supplies

I want to slimline everything, have less and enjoy more. Have products that I look forward to buying and using within a short period of time, rather than having boxes and boxes of goodies that I don't use because they're special/I don't have time/I feel guilty about having more than I need.

I've been reading a blog that I think a few of you would also like. It's written by a francophile american but I really do like her rationale of simplify/enjoy/luxuriate. See what you think.

As part of operation Avoid-the-Sunday-Night-Blues-And-Look-After-Roguey I have painted my toenails and fingernails. First time the toenails have been painted in about a year, I used Nails Inc Motcomb Street (very dark blue) that came off the front of a glamour mag ages ago. My finger nails have grown and tonight I have given myself a clear gel mani. The tips of my nails are bright white so it's a very easy french manicure. I'm planning on using a normal nail polish over the top of the clear gel later this week. I'm also planning a Monday night bath in one of my mini Neom bath oils.

Hope you're all looking after yourselves :o

Morning everyone! Have another UU to report:

TBS Peppermint Pumice Foot Scrub - WBA, absolutely love this stuff (and I already had a spare in the cupboard). It has fine particles that exfoliate really well and it foams up too. It has a weird jelly / mousse texture but it's the best foot scrub I've ever used. I like to gently file my feet with the body shop file, then soak them for a little in some warm water with peppermint oil and epsom salts, then scrub with this and finally moisturise with some foot butter. As I have little to no feeling in my feet I think it's a good idea to take extra care of them just so I know what's going on down there!

Oh and i have some in's to report: went to the OH's cricket club annual dinner on Saturday and I won a raffle prize - £150 worth of Arbonne spa products. I've heard of Arbonne makeup before but not their body products. The pack has a hair mask, face mask and body scrub from the sea salt line, vitamin c night cream and a spf lip balm and they're all salon sizes so absolutely massive! Quite looking forward to trying them out when I've used up the stuff I'm currently using.

    Hi Roquey
Sorry that you are finding life tough, sometimes we can bounce back better than others:( Sending virtual hugs to you and to all that are feeling a bit down or a bit poorly at the moment. xx

Thanks for the link, just had a quick look and lots there that I need to introduce or re-introduce into my life, such as turning off the tv or radio and playing music. When life was particularly horrid at one stage, I used to drive to work playing very loud music or Susan Jeffers CD's and out loud to myself play "the glad game", often with tears streaming down my face, I am sure it helped, and at least I was not just sitting back and letting it all smack me in the place. Life is pretty good to me now, even if my health is up and down, but I do need to simplify and use what I have with more joy.

Back OT your nails sound great, I did the gel base about a week ago and am really keeping on top of the cuticle oil and hand cream so that my nails don't dry out, and it is great just whipping off the ordinary nail polish and re-doing without having to do the full works. Nails as of this morning are Nails Inc Marlebone Mews, one of the freebies last week. Toes are still awaiting colour:o

The foot scrub sounds lovely, except, for me, the peppermint smell:eek:

  • No more UUs yet but my open pot of aqua marina cleanser is on its last legs as is (thankfully) the horrid NSpa peach body butter. I give them both until Wednesday>

Buuut I found more products lurking. Simple eye makeup remover gel and eye roll on, David Jones cleanser, and 3 mask sachets added to the list. Grr.
