Afternoon all
Traveller - Hope it is going well today! Good vibes your way.
Jealous of the mentions of *bucks and Coster. I've resisted the festive drinks so far, saving the lbs and the £'s, but have a date in my diary for one! Roll on 13th December lol
Lilt - Enjoy the take away! That something I'm missing massively at the moment, but something else I've allowed for in the December budget.
Not much to add from me today. Had to pop in to Mr T's on the way in for some fruit. Got a Onepoll payout today, that was handy, but I have a feeling it will be swallowed by a dentist appointment next week. Also set up my first ever savings account yesterday, actually 2! One for a small amount of actual savings a month that I WILL NOT TOUCH EVER, and one for an emergency fund, so that when the car goes, or we need a dentist (classed as an emergency in our house because we go so infrequently!), I will not have to scrabble about to find money to cover it. As an aside, I'm interested in what others do, do you have emergency funds whilst paying off debt?
Looking forward to the weekend, struggling with sleep this week (for no reason at all) and can't wait for a rest. This is the only weekend between now and Christmas where a whole day of rest will be possible, so I'm going to sit on the sofa with a box set, a blanket, lots of tea and a crafty activity ALL DAY on Sunday. I can't wait
Today I am thankful for my cats, who are terrors but I love the dearly, my DH, who is also a terror but I love him dearly too, pineapples, caffeine and my job. Can't wait for the December challenge!
Happy Thursday All!0 -
Hi having a lovely day off so far.
Walked dog in daylight, let the bunny hop around the garden. Dog food bought and collected ticket for tonight's gig.
Lilt ended up in Costa with a caramel latte and nice surprise grandson there with his Dad. Popped into New Look avoided shops for ages ended up with 4 lovely tops £28. Used my groupon voucher M. & s. Dine in for two deal on. Already made headway into the trifle.
Ham in coke works well flakes into pieces so tender. Might try just water next time as bit sweet for me. Usually avoid fizzy drinks.
Another dog walk in sunshine wash hair and get ready for Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) fame.
Hope the interview went well Traveller.

1. Is it on now? I may have to swing by on the way home..... got s teeny bit of the food budget left and that would be a lovely Sunday treat(to be honest, the majority of my food budget has gone on non perishables for Christmas and the odd present this month, so will be lowering it considerably in Jan I think!)
2. Thanks for the feed back! I'm not a fan of sweet and savoury together so might have to swerve that one0 -
Yes Dine in deal on now, no chicken left in my local one but something to look forward to at the weekend if there is any trifle left oops.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220

Hi all,
Hope you are all well and battling those lurgies away! Hope your interview went well today traveller? CEW - Glad to hear you are adjusting to your change in circumstances- you sound super organised with the house!! SOA - Hope you enjoyed Hunger Games. I thought it was a pretty good watch. Thrifty - Hope all went well with your DS's vaccinations yesterday! Calling how annoying about the cost of your teeth!
I bought some hair dye yesterday, my usual one was in a sale so grabbed it while it is on offer. As I'd lost a SFD I purchased another small xmas gift and parted with 20p to put air in my car's tyres.
SFD today though, bringing me to 12SFDs I think I may fall a little short of my 15 target this month, though. However, my xmas shopping is 2/3s complete nowI have also started making some cards so feeling a bit organised in the Christmas department!
Night in watching 'The Fall' with my ma! Hope you are all well and warm! x:coffee:

Today I am grateful for cheerful students, for the sunshine, for getting home while there was still a smidgen of daylight, for making mint fudge (175g butter, 200g white choc, 50g condensed milk, 500g icing sugar + green colouring and mint essence ), for dd's fun on her bouncy hopper.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Loving the idea of mint fudge apple muncher
Had another spendy day today and as it turns out it needn't have been, grrrrr. Was aiming to get the Ald! voucher today but went to 4 shops and they had sold out of the paper. However, I had already bought cat food in the first shop so then I carried on and got my shopping. Spent a fortune, got loads of treats and not many meals
Not much else to report. Hoping tomorrow is a SFD - electrician is coming, OH's car is being collected for repair/scraping and THE NEW MATTRESS IS ARRVING :j Yay :jLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Coffeeandstitches I haven't got an emergency fund however after over a year of debt payments, I have started the save £1 a day for a year challenge, as a method of saving. I have also decided to do it for £2 a day so I will have a small savings pot this time next year.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Have taken annual leave today just to get some jobs done - haven't even made it as far as seeing mockingly yet, boo! Just been shopping to do my quarterly filling up cupboards type shop, expensive but worth it I feel. Sold my old phone so looking forward to that going through as a top up to get me through to the end of the month!
£142/ £150 groceries till 15th December
