These little blimps only making me more determined.
:j:j That's the spirit!! I feel like a bit of a fraud cheering you on when I've only just begun, but everyone needs words of encouragement, right?
Jealous of your ham. Have you done it before? Is it nice? Is it sweet? I might have to add it to my listofthingstotryintheslowcooker0 -
First timer with slow cooker, only had it few weeks, will let you know what the taste test is like.
Thats the point of this thread and any encouragement is all good. Would have given in a long time ago except for the kind folk here.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Hi All
Calling we all have rotten days like that and I'm glad your feeling more positive :T Enjoy every bit of your visit to $tarbucks
Well my head is absolutely pounding, but I have to be half human tomorrow for my interviewI'm not looking forward to the test side but at least this time tomorrow it will be over, lol. Also, I have to be well enough to crawl in to work as it won't go down to well if I can go (just about) to an interview but have been off sick, which I understand. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself on the test, but I'm thinking positive regardless and will put my best foot forward and give it a go,lol. Then I have to put my application for my actual job I do now on Monday. From then on, I'll be back on the job hunt again. I've still yet to catch up on this properly.
Yesterday I spent on a pair of boots. The ones I have, lets just say don't give a good first impression interview wise, so it's an investment :rotfl: 25.00 including next day delivery in the Debenhams sale
Well I'm signing off now and I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. Take care everyone:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Do hope you feel better soon, Calling. You've had such a lot to deal with this year, it is amazing that you haven't hidden yourself away.
traveller, hope all goes well tomorrow and you are able to give it your best shot.
Today I am grateful for buses, for dd + little friend's imaginative playing, for a chat with my dad, for online banking, for my fleecy blanket.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Evening all
Keep going Calling, you are doing fantastically well
Good luck for your interview traveller
Today was another spend day. Really struggling with SFDs this month. Today I needed a new headlight for my car (OH discovered it last night) and also bought a naughty breakfast from the golden arches.
Did go for a swim this evening, so I have met my exercise target :j
I have started my new budgets as I got paid yesterday. I have also started the save £365 in 365 days but I am doing it doubled up so hoping to save £730 this year. I have opened a high interest saver account that pays out interest on the anniversary of the account, so this time next year, I will have £730 an some interest
Hope you've all had a good day, starting to feel a lurgy looming.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Oh dear.I feel so sorry for all you people with poorly children, car bills, dentists and interviews. Realised I've been through all that and looking back,in the grand scheme of things, there just blips on the landscape. The sort of things that will be just memories soon, some good and some bad.
Since I last posted had 2 more NSD and spent £11.22 on ham, cheese, bread and fruit. £15.39 to last until next Monday.
New shower room was due to be started on the 1st.Dec but the workmen are so far behind, can't see it being done before Christmas. :-(
Printer has "died". maybe it just needs ink as it must be a couple of years since the last lot.Presume it dries up over time.
The £1000 extra before May isn't doing to bad,so something positive there.

Calling I just wanted to say I am so sorry about your teeth. What a shocking amount of money a crown is. Dentists charge ridiculous amounts of money. My old dentist worked for Denplan and I paid £16 a month and had 3 monthly check ups etc, and everything was included within the plan. He retired just as I moved down south... aged 47. Says it all to me. Rip off merchants. Are you sure you can't have the tooth out? My little sister has had abcesses push out 4 of her molars so far  and she just left them as holes.
I still haven't fessed up to YNAB as I have really only just sat down for the first time all day. Even though I stopped painting (after starting at 8am) at half past 5, so that jelly could go to bed at 6, I then had to tidy up the chaos that was the house full of her bedroom stuff and sort dinner etc.
It is Hims birthday tomorrow so I anticipate spends. I am a terrible person and had not yet bought him cards. he knows, and said I can get them tomorrow when he goes to trade in a game to buy a new one. So cards are on the list, and maybe a celebratory Costa (We are Costa peeps in this house Calling!) - I also said I would treat him to a take away for tea, and as he has only just got over a serious vomiting bug I can't turn him down. Still, I budgeted it so I can't be doing too badly. Just the groceries that took a giant hit. I need to start my meal plan. A job for friday morning methinks before the in laws descend for Birthday 2.
SFD today - 17/18 now. So close!
Hugs to anyone needing them. Keep your chins up, everyone is heading in the right direction, even if you've taken a few detours along the way!the view is great right?
xx

Good luck to interviewees, boo to expensive bills and the lurgy.
Today isn't an SFD. Had just enough bread in the house to make DS his lunch. So bought me some YS lunch of 2 29p pot noodles (for tomorrow), a 10p banana, a £2 chicken wrap and fruit from home. Might scrape enough together for dinner and lunch tomorrow before I hit Liddle tomorrow lunch time. Also bought tickets for a christmas puppet show that we go to every year with friends and their kids in December.
