    Afternoon all,

I seem to be struggling with getting the no spendy days in. It's only small amounts (£1.25 on salad bits, £1.00 on shampoo) but I just can't seem to get organised enough to get everything I need at once. On the plus side, I haven't bought anything on impulse, and nothing that wasn't on the 'list', so at least that's something.

Just spent half an hour going through my inbox and unsubscribing from mailing lists. It feels quite empowering....

Little bit added to the pots and payments today. Gritting my teeth and waiting for the interest to be added to CC balance for the month, and got a man coming to quote for the paintwork on the car. I'm bracing myself. The car thing is SO frustrating but I can't leave it. Just can't wait until I have an emergency fund for moments like this so I don't have to go near the dreaded credit cards.... it's only making me more determined!

'Food' shop coming tonight, I use the term loosely as the majority of it is Christmas gifts! We have a big freezer store at the moment so I'm trying to run that down a bit, so actually didn't require much food, so using the surplus to make inroads into the Christmas shopping. This time next year I'll also have saved for that.....

    Happy Thursday all! :D
  • coffee and stitches i wouldn't worry too much about getting an nsd its the not spending too much that counts. It took me over a month to get my first one, however I will admit it did feel good.
budgets = food gone:eek:/ petrol almost gone:eek:/nsd:mad:/ Treats: where the money gone? far far away:mad:/exercise not happening/declutter: only my purse:(
    time for me :fat chance
  • Thanks Sazzle! The saving grace is that it's low spends on necessities, I just need to get myself a bit more organised! Most of it is grocery stuff that goes off very quickly. So if anyone has any tips on keeping lettuce & cucumber fresh for more than 4 days feel free to pass them on :D
  • Afternoon all :D Just spent ages catching up with you all. I forget how quickly this challenge moves... I must be more diligent!

I need to update my sig too. Walking every day so that's good, not lost any more weight, not so good but not surprising... all the little treats add up in £'s and llb's. Why is chocolate always on offer somewhere??

Anyway, started the decluttering but not finished yet, traded in a few books on the river so the giftcard can go towards christmas shopping. Every little helps right?

Have £30 food shopping left but that's only to last until the 20th so all good. Need to work out everything else before I try and update. Not got the hang of my iphone or YNAB yet but I'll get there.

    Back later VB x

Check out wikihow, they've got a few tips. Or try this for cucumber. I keep cucumber on the counter too like tomatoes and just finished the one bought on Saturday. My lettuce keeps fine for a week in the fridge with out any wrapping.

Hi everyone :) As I worked from home today, I had a NSD. I found two more jobs to apply for, so good to get in the mindset of applying again. I have started one that has to be in by Monday morning  Years ago that would be plenty of time, but I'm conking out by about 9pm each night, so that gives me a spare hour after my little one goes to bed and I have finished dinner and everything. However, I have told myself, however bad an effort, it has to be submitted. I need to get back into the swing of things, as this is going to be my job, for uite a while-applying for a job, lol! The cold is developing into something else. My chest is sore and I feel achy- not exactly what I need right now, lol. Well done Stewby on signing up for the 365 challenge agin and getting your lucky number :T Can you believe it was nearly a year ago the other on started  Well have a good evening everyone :)

It worked so well last time traveller. It seemed silly not to do it again. Also, it meant that we equally bought all the presents as opposed to OH paying for nothing.
    :o

Are you doing it again too?? I have even got my mum doing it for 2015 although she is doing one for her holiday as opposed to xmas.
    :)

Spend free day today. Number 5!! Wow... that is poor, even for me. Must try harder.

Today is called Procrastinating Day so as a result, my xmas cards remain unwritten. I have spent the day planning future holidays and day dreaming about having loads of money one day.
    :p

Oh... in money related news. We have managed to pay another £400 off my credit card this month. Was worried I wouldn't be able to due to the car bill but my dad had sorted it all out.
    :D

Credit card is currently £2894.42 so... have asked dad if there is a spare £4.42 so it brings it down to a round number. If we were to pay off £404.42 this month then that would bring my credit card down to: £2490!!!!!!!!!!
    :j

Hugs to all the other turtles. Keep plodding.
    :)

P.S: Anxiously waiting for NSK to let us know if she arrived safely. Anyone got any news??
