I called my bank (in case someone had hacked my card) and discovered that VAX had actually taken 4 payments! But have sent NO confirmation e mails!


Just on the phone 'Jamie' at VAX! Who said we need to wait up to 5 working days for a refund! It was 'flagged' as a suspected fraudulent transaction(s)... BUT THEY STILL TOOK THE MONEY!!!


Now back on the phone to the bank as VAX cannot (or will not?) sort it!!!!!

Same thing happened to my daughter, luckily just one payment,she was having it delivered to a different address and hadn't realised the delivery address had also gone into the billing address, so the transaction was denied. Went back and reordered, checked her bank later, £69 gone awol!!!!. If the payment has been denied why on earth does it have to go into this 'holding account' for up to 5 days????

I know this as I downloaded the user guide for the one that I wanted when I placed the order. When researching the different models some people commented on how difficult some models were to clean. As sometimes items don't come with a user manual (especially in a sale) I thought I'd do it right there so I could have it handy.

As I have no order confirmation, I compared the price for the model I ordered, the one that they sent me and the amount charged to my credit card and yep, it's a cheaper model that they sent.

I have no issue with the vacuum, it seems to work fine, but I've been overcharged!

I contacted Vax, they'e replied saying that I have the model that I ordered (not true), but make no mention of the amount that I overpaid and want refunding to my card.

The sale website is no longer active for me to send them the evidence of being overcharged so where do I stand? Anyone got any advice?

I have a similar problem. Choosing between two models I went for the slightly more expensive because it had a lift off canister, but I have received the cheaper version. I have a screen shot of my checkout page but guess what - it doesn't give the model number, neither does email conformation. And now the sale site is no longer valid.
My advice is take screen shots of every step of your transaction.
I will update once I have contacted Vax today.

Well - mine was a success story, just in case people are worried...
I ordered a pressure washer ont the 31st October, which was a Friday,got confirmation e mail to say 3 - 7 working days and that I would get email from courier to let me know about delivery. I didn't get email from courier so I was getting concerned, however I arrived home on Tues 4th to find it had been delivered! The Item was sold as "damaged box" but apart from a tiny hole it looked new - when we opened it however the 2 packs of cleaning fluid (worth £10 each) were missing, I called CS and they were really helpful and are posting out the missing items - not only that but he registered the pressure washer for me so it is covered for 2 years! I will definitely be looking out for next sale!

Has anyone else has their Vax delivered yet?
I ordered mine on Saturday. No email confirmation, so I called them up. They said that they couldn't find the order without the order number and that I should check with my bank if the money has been taken. The money went out on Monday, but I still haven't heard anything.

Ordered Thurs evening, still waiting . Have received an email yesterday saying they aim to get it sent out within 10 days.

Seems like I was lucky! Ordered when I saw the offer, great price for the hoover! And it was delivered on Thursday and is great so far! Great saving!

Update... Got the Money Refunded in FULL... and Received no VAX!!!


Oh Well ... Need to Buy a Polti!!

I ordered on the 29th and the money was taken from my account, but I haven't heard anything. If they are having problems keeping up with demand I wish they would at least email people to let them know.

Well, success of sorts.

After replying to their e-mail, saying that I was certain that I had not been sent the model that I originally ordered and quoting the price difference, Vax have e-mailed and done a bit of backtracking, apologising for the incorrect order and promising a refund for the difference.

A bit different from their initial e-mail!

I am for the moment happy with the lesser model sent, even though it's not as big a bargain as it could have been.:money:

A word of warning to others if this offer comes up again - take screenshots or your order and also of the model you want!!
