  • I turned into a crazy coupon lady this week, and bought six months' worth of loo paper for $11. I bought five packets - enough for us: two adults and a four year old kid :)

The packets were on sale at $6 something, down from $10.50. There was an additional offer - spend $30 and get a $10 gift card. And I also had $10 worth of coupons/rewards cash for the shop.

was that CVS by any chance? Also, I think the app Saving Star has a deal that might have worked with that.

I've requested a £66 refund from OVO as my account was £166 in credit (leaving £100 in there in case we go over the DD in the winter months) - can I count this?!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)
  • Congratulations on the refund,Twiggy:T. I expect it's fine to count it but someone who's more knowledgeable about how this challenge works will no doubt be along later. I'm still a newbie:o

I'm in credit with Scottish Power for £138 but am not sure whether to ask for a refund because this is a cold, old house with no mains gas to our village. We use oil as our central heating fuel but as OH is never cold and won't switch it on except in the coldest weather:( I rely on electric heaters (switched on as little as possible;)). Cooking etc is electric too and our winter bills are always quite high. I don't want the dd to have to go up to cover usage once the winter sets in just for a temporary injection of cash to my bank account now. I suppose I could ask for £38 and leave £100 credit like you have. Problems, problems

I usually take any excess refund in the Spring so I know the winter is covered however cold it is or isn't ;)

Made £7.50 on surveys last week, 88 pence off petrol with Mr T points and found a till spit for £5 off £40 left in a Mr T trolley  now used for some C* drink. So total of £13.38 added.

Not doing too well again this month but still two weeks to go and so will have to up the anty and push a bit harder :)

Hope you all have a tremendous Tuesday
