Arrived home from work and did a Valued SloppyOnions survey while waitng for the kettle to boil and hit cashout threshold, so snagged a £10 Amazon voucher with the proceeds
Also got my money-saving hat on again this afternoon and sat down and sorted out my National Insurance. I've been registered self-employed for the past four years and paying Class 2 contributions myself. But since I got me new salaried p/t job back in summer, I've been also paying full Class 1 contributions through PAYE, like normal. So I discovered that, if I apply for an SEE (Small Earnings Exception) I can stay registered as self-employed (which is useful as I'm still doing the occasional one-off commission) but not pay Class 2 contributions any more as I'm way, way under the threshold.
So THAT should save me £11 a month = £132 a year better off! AND if it all works out I should, in theory, be able to reclaim the unneccessary payments I made so that should be about fifty quid back (but that won't happen any time soon, as they aren't famous for high-speed responses!!)
Ending the week feeling good about money-saving and hoping inspiration strikes this weekend to earn a few more pennies! Good luck everyone, hope you have a fabulous weekendNOV 2014 £151.74/£150 ... DEC 2014 £303.81/300 ... JAN 2015 £143.33/£150

Not doing too well this month. I do have a temp PT job that I started last month but don't want to include that income so only relying on surveys, field agent, cash back, etc. But no where near my target.0 -

I turned into a crazy coupon lady this week, and bought six months' worth of loo paper for $11. I bought five packets - enough for us: two adults and a four year old kid
The packets were on sale at $6 something, down from $10.50. There was an additional offer - spend $30 and get a $10 gift card. And I also had $10 worth of coupons/rewards cash for the shop.Your biggest asset is TIME! I'm focused on multi-generational financial freedom.0 -
