NSD #11 here today. Nearly at target!
  • :hello: Morning all xx

Just popping in quickly, I did get my electric and took the opportunity of a spend day to get petrol on my way home yesterday morning. Then when I got home I had a letter from British Gas with a £12 token for electric credit?!?!?! -something to do with being a customer in October . That will come in handy :) Then tonight at work I sorted my house insurance, managed to find one a lot cheaper than my renewal; even taking into account I had lost the no claims due to an attempted break in in February so that's done now too.

Last shift last night so starting on coffee in a bit then a quick trip to doctor's for more blood tests then dropping a book off at a friends. Will be too tired to spend anything I hope :D

Hopefully our payslips will be here when I come in for overtime on Sunday...........I'm owed quite a bit from October and they only seem to be late when she hasn't got them right.........We shall see

    Back later xxx

    :hello:

  • How many fingers and toes have Hubert and Igor got between them, cos I can't count :o.
On 16th Nov,I reported having had 4 NSDs.I had actually had 5 .
So,ontop of that,I have had NSDs yesterday and today, making it a total of 7 for the month.
Thank you for all your hard work, marmiterules hugs.gif

Discovering lost nsds, that is always fab! :j

Hubert,of course, has hooves...Igor,well,I have heard rumours that he has lost a finger or two due to the enthusiastic and erratic chopping by his mummy The Swedish Chef when he was but a babe, sitting on his mummy's lap.As he insists on wearing marigolds with a furry pink trim all the time,I've never been able to verify this.
I dare not ask him,as he's in a fuming mood just now.Apparently no-one finished their plate of porridge/brown sludge this morning at brekkie.Let's just say that he still has enough fingers left to wield a knife.

I think Igor's mood may settle very soon, marmite - Hubert has reminded him it is now the 21st November and nothing has been sorted yet regarding the traditional end of month party to celebrate all the NSDs. Does he do a themed night e.g. Scottish because of St Andy's day, or some other theme (all suggestions welcome) or do a traditional posh dinner party - suppose Hubert could be the wine waiter but someone would have to open all the bottles for him.as he only has hooves....eeeh, it's a dirty job but somebody has to do it....

It's good to see some things haven't changed :undecided ... giggle.gif

Hope you've all brought straws cuz there was only enough milk for one cup; don't worry tho, cuz I borrowed Igor's tip & put both tea and coffee in together & everyone's catered for :) There's a bit of rock in Hubert's saddle bag from our trip to Bryton a couple of years ago, if you want sugar.. don't stand on ceremony! Help yaselves

    That explains the taste then....

I've reached my target today! I'm not sure what to aim for next. Maybe another 3? Put me up to 18 please, Marmite! :)

Well done black cat! :j :money:

nargle how about we ask our fellows nsders to come up with an end of the month celebratory meal menu?It could be interesting ......The winner would receive a crate of Babysham...:D

Just remember folks, that Igor is heavily into fusion cuisine.Plus,he's just fired his sous-chef after the Sludgegate debacle,so there's a position to fill in the kitchen.BTW,Igor is the only one allowed to say 'ça marche'....

Just seen a jobs ad in the Ennessdee Gazette - wanted, experienced sous chef in large gothic-style mansion, catering for 30-plus. Must be prepared to say "Yes Chef!" without question, be prepared to work with Scandinavian/ Transylvanian duo and a donkey. Lack of senses of smell and taste desirable. Total lack of any sense compulsory.

  • So,I've painstakingly added up the numbers on the front page (and just to complicate things,I always do the adding up in French),and we have a stunning
    total of 340 nsds.

    Active participants = 46.

    The mean average = 7.4 nsds! ;)

So,with ten days left to be skimpy spenders, who knows how far we can go?! :money:

It's time to tighten our belts people. :D
