  • Hey guys once again back on the forum and was wondering if I would be able to be re added onto the challenge!

Anyway to those who wondered where I'd gone away too the honest answer is I don't have a clue. Either way the saving habits slipped when I went but I'm back to rectify that. For those who wondered how my job was going it's going great, only on £3.72 an hour but getting around 24 hours work a week plus college so about £90.00 in my back pocket a week.
I've have, as of two weeks ago set up a Halifax Junior ISA which I contribute 1/3 of my income to. So currently I have £90. I'm calling it my emergency savings account as I am aiming to save 3 months of income (£1080) by the time I turn 18 then I will open a H&L regular savers account as liquid savings and a SIPP when I turn 18 which I will contribute about 10% of my income to. Just want that £1080 as a nest egg if you want to call it that incase of any emergencies! :D

Anyway sorry for withering on just wanted to tell people I'm still alive haha! :D

Yay! Another NSD for me, taking my total to 6! May need petrol tomorrow but should be ok until Friday, which is when I pay myself the next installment of my weekly budget.

I am saving so much money this month, it's amazing!

  • No, Igor, marmite said cheese and wine, not cheese wine. You cannot drink fermented cheese, regardless of what your Grandma used to serve at Christmas.

That was gluewein,I believe.Grandma Igor was a legend, and has been compared by many as a bonkers Mrs Beeton, determined to bring forth the inedible into polite society.

The Igor take on cheese is a brave mix of pungent kipper and jellied eel. It's a recipe that been in the family for years, and is much in demand for stag nights and the like.
The wine(Château Nargle-Bonvin Grand Cru) is described by many as plummy, chewy, eggy and wishy-washy with a nice finish and a well-rounded bottom.Apparently it also acts as a good expectorant.

Who's got a well-rounded bottom???' Oh, the wine......

You've really started something now, marmite. Igor and Swedish Chef are hiding in the basement kitchen setting up a cheese production line. They have the huge vat scrubbed out ( after Igor finished the laundry) and the stirring thing is all sterilised ready to go, they just can't decide on what manner of creature should provide the milk, cow, sheep, goat....oh-oh, I see Igor heading towards Hubert with a bucket, methinks some urgent intervention is required.....
One life - your life - live it!

  • I had a shock earlier on.I spilt a cold drink on my computer keyboard, but some quick gymnastic moves,a hairdryer and a few well-chosen shrieks, and it's none the worse.

    Phew..............thank heavens for that :D
