kermit Every workday morning grab a roll/sandwich from the freezer, bag of crisps/cake/cereal bar from the cupboard and fruit from the fruitbowl. That's lunch sorted in less than 30 seconds.

    That's just what I do!

I line it all up on the table in the kitchen ready to put in my bag - fruit, biscuit etc then line the rest up on the middle shelf of the fridge to grab in the morning when I get my milk for tea and cereal - all do in less than 10 seconds!

What a good day for me today - firstly a NSD making it NSD 10.

Some spends but none that count as spends as all budgeted for by saving through the year

The spends were half the Christmas presents ordered - out of present budget I save into each month, then graduation gown ordered out of the savings for the big day which also include taking my family out for meal afterwards to say thanks for coming.

Then home to find a letter from the Financial Ombudsman upholding my PPI complaint that the bank had turned down. Worth waiting a year for that investigation to be completed!

    Great news fedup :j

Well i seem to have fallen off the NSD wagon - ordered a travel book for my DM b'day today (planning to take her away as a surprise but don't have exact dates as it will depend on her holiday so thought the book would be nice) and a card (of the place we're going) The card was HM by a local crafter (we have a lovely craft co-op store in town), exactly what I wanted and cheaper than WHS across the prescient so i was a happy bunny.

Then picked up a couple of bits in the £ and 99p stores - all essential promise :money:

Work is so busy atm i'm finding it hard to be organised on anything else so picking things up as I need them. I guess the good thing is it does mean i don't really have time to shop for anything but the essentials.

oh and the downpour in boot camp this morning persuaded me that I think I will keep the nike jacket I got yesterday - the dri-fit has got to be better than the heavy cotton (gets heavy and cold when wet) hoodie I've been wearing for all this time.

7 NSDs bearing the legend "property of Chateau Nargle " are now languishing in the Cauldron of Doom, thanks to me being on enforced house arrest. Weather has been filthy this morning so mustn't complain.

By the way,we happen to have a few bottles of Château Nargle-Bonvin Grand Cru left over from our summer garden party.Igor is already pouring over 'The Naked Chef',planning Ennessdee Tower's forthcoming 'Cheese & Wine' party.Entertainment (as per usual) by The Good Ole Boys.Somewhat unusually, they're a fusion tribute band, their current musical heroes being The Village People/Mariah Carey/Tom Jones.Should be interesting.Just as long as Igor doesn't try out any sexy Tom Jones style moves on the dancefloor, and put a split in his keks, like he did the last time. The Mayoress wasn't amused. :D
    She's of a delicate disposition.

  • Today is #8. :j

I had a shock earlier on.I spilt a cold drink on my computer keyboard, but some quick gymnastic moves,a hairdryer and a few well-chosen shrieks, and it's none the worse.

There's so much activity on this thread.I'm glad to see that all you lovely people are so keen.

It reminds me of Daphne in 'Some Like It Hot': she's so eager!

No, Igor, marmite said cheese and wine, not cheese wine. You cannot drink fermented cheese, regardless of what your Grandma used to serve at Christmas.
