I could only see the wreath on both links Valli :o

I have been pootling along at home, not feeling very social :( Yesterday I just did my dailies and then spent the afternoon sewing red panels and white diamonds on a black top for DD1's Harley Quinn Halloween costume. The boyfriend is going as The Joker. They're going to a party, best dressed and best dressed couple get a prize ;)
DD2's meant to be going out too but I've not seen any sign of a costume for her
I'm all sorted with sweets and my decorations are up :D

    Litter trays have been scrubbed.
Dog's bedding just finished in the WM and ready for TD.
DW been on and ready for unloading

I went out to buy some cat litter from a certain under a quid shop but they didn't have any so ended up spending £31.10 (10p for a strong bag) on things towards Christmas instead :o
  • Hi all

On holiday today but woke up at 6.30am raring to go. Spent 2 hours shredding and filing, have scrubbed the kitchen floor ready for OH to start tiling and got 3 loads of washing out on the line.

Supermarket shopping this aft, need to go to the bank and post office then more filing if I feel like it.

Oh and I think we are going to get rid of the massive 15 tog duvet we used to have on our bed in winter before we got a new window in our bedroom. We really dont need it any more and I cant get any of those vacuum bags to work properly so it takes up so much space.

OH and I are making the most of a vary rare couple of hours without the kids tonight to go out for tea. Looking forward to that.

    Hi all,

Just finishing up lunch here. We've been out and half-filled the brown bin with leaves. They were rather wet or we'd have got more. Hopefully the rest will dry out a bit now so I can use the garden vac next time. Anyway, DS had fun helping so we are all happy.

Then his little pal rode down on his bike so we stood out the front while they pedalled up and down the street. Said pal then invited himself in :D so they had an hours play and left for lunch just after 12.

I've stripped all the beds, so will remake those before we head over to my mums later. WM on its second run - thought it was finished so opened the door and the detergent was still there - I hadn't even set it going lol.

Looks like toys r us has barfed here, again...

Prob won't catch up tomorrow - but LW how do you pronounce Samhain please - I saw it as sawin in wiki - is that correct? I try to be accurate.
    Yep, that's right.:T

Quick time-out before we wield brooms and do the annual sweeping-out of all negativity; I'm exhausted, as we've been into town and done the F&V run early (Mr LW has to take the car for service tomorrow, so we'd be going into town late, something I try to avoid on a Saturday) and since we got home we've made mincemeat and a bunch of puds. Mr LW was a tad disappointed that there was only a tiddly-widdly bit of H0bgoblin left for him to drink after I'd put what was needed for the puds; never mind, there's a bottle of champagne in the fridge for later.;)

Been to London with DS3 to see the poppies, very moving and we popped into the Bank of England museum too.

Need to drop DS3 at a friend's for a sleepover in a bit and get back in time to mow the lawn before dark as it looks quite dry.

I've got a bit behind with the Flying this week, as I've been out and about these past few days.

This weekend will be a bit of a catch-up fest, methinks :)

Kitchen to do (really need to clean that fridge!) and I need to check those smoke alarms as well. I don't have an instruction manual for them, as they were there when we moved in to this flat, but I guess you just have to press the button lightly and see that the alarm sounds?

Yes heuchera, press the button warning family first!

Back and chatted too long so no lawn mowing but I am going to eat a frog in a minute, or at least chew one.
