Hi all, please can I join?
I'm popping over from the TTC thread where I will send myself stir crazy, so need to focus on other things!
Little background info - work 2 jobs - 1 full time and another part time from home, because of this I can be very LAZY when it comes to housework! I WANT to have a lovely, tidy, perfect home so much but I just don't try hard enough haha! We have just moved, so I have decided this will be our "show home"
Jobs for today
Need to do a couple of hours of work (for job number 2)
Bed sheets changed (in WM atm)
Quick food shop
Tidy upstairs - Bathroom - Bedroom - Spare rooms (downstairs done yesterday)
Oh, and you've reminded me I need to sort my nails too!0 -
Hi all, just an update on the day so far. Doing well! :j
[STRIKE]Bed made
Shower, dressed, face on
Bedroom quickly neatened up / tidied
Called the bank
Made 2 dishes for dinner tonight
Hoovered and washed the kitchen floor
DW emptied and reloaded
Emptied the hoover[/STRIKE]
Feeling very on top of things! DH gone out now to take stuff to the charity shop and pick up a couple of extra ingredients for dinner. Nov grocery challenge starts today, so he's under strict instructions to keep track of what he spends.
Positive vibes to all those flying today!
Welcome dingdongavoncalling. Remember, little steps - it won't be a show home overnight, but will gradually improve (this is a realisation I had this week!).
Nice to see you back mortgagegirl, hope you feel better today.0 -

... (don't we all) and in other news from the little village called Fantasy Land ....
I raced around like a racing thing yesterday doing assorted Flying and house and chalet-type things and even while I was doing it I couldn't work out where the time had gone.
I know I spent sometime working on the shower room, I know I did the shopping and three loads of washing, all pegged out, pegged in last night and then pegged out again this morning and drying, but as for the rest of the 10 hours flat out, I have very little idea of what I achieved. Maddening.
I have ordered two more sonic mouse repellers. The little $h!t$ have left $h!t on MY bed. Gah.Better is good enough.0 -
I am going to murder DS1.. so if you hear of a young man being beaten to death with a velvet slipper with a diamond patterned sole it was me.. He is a total moron.. I don't even know I how I managed to spawn such a complete fool if I am honest.. He and his gf were brawling in the street like drunken buffoons at 3am and the police took him into custody.. but not her.. talk about unfair and sexist treatment!! and he isn't home yet.. he is supposed to be having Jacob overnight.. I've had to lie to her and I am furious .. I am going to murder him.. I've had a rant at my mother too for buying them both drinks and being an enabler when they had no money and she knows what always happens when gf drinks to excess.. he is fine by himself but she goes psychotic and attacks him or causes arguments and while I am absolutely totally not condoning him hitting her I think it is equally wrong that she hits him. I have had a good old rant at her and he will be getting the same when he eventually gets here! The evils of drink eh?!
In addition OH is upset, again, his mother was supposed to be coming tomorrow and has text to say she isn't so I have him to deal with. It must be a bit annoying that she totally babies his sister yet can't even make an effort to come see him for even a few hours, she was supposed to be coming and staying overnight but decided she wouldn't. It is a mammoth effort for us to go there, it takes 3 days for me to pack everything and about 6 hours to load the car and it is really difficult now Squeak is at school.. she just has to get dressed and leave the house! He just feels very put out and insignificant I thinkAt least I'm never surprised by my families lack of interest no one ever wanted me anyway
The baby is full of snot, DD1 is still hysterical and unable to keep anything down without her sicky drugs. My cat is poorly, DS3 is unhappy and it is November and I have just checked out how much I have to wrap.. it's not pretty!
I feel like I am utterly failing at everything and everyone right now.
On a plus ... I may actually get through some cleaning and stuff in my rage! I'm going to start wrapping ASAP I think..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Blimey Pigpen you are having a rough time of it at the moment. Just try not to take too much on yourself, especially where OH and the older kids are concerned. Easier said than done I know.
The shredding and office decluttering continues. I am just sitting here looking at piles of stuff and thinking "why have I kept this?". I am trying to do it in some sort of logical order to avoid that moment where you have pulled everything out of a cupboard and end up in a total mess. I think I am failing with this though.
Right, onwards and upwards.0 -
Well my Christmas shopping sucks. Pixie has 5 things. Ds2 has 6.. Dd3, squeak, dot the oldest 2 and the grandbeasts are all done. My sisters are done and OH is done.. I have ds2 & 3 to finish, pixie a few bits more to get, and Moomin and Tiddles need a few more bits. I need to sort my stepdad and my mother and my niece and nephew. I foresee them getting an IOU each lol
Never mind! I guess they have some things so will have to make do !! I'm hoping they sort tax credits for ds2 and fling a lump sum at me.. They took him off i error in September.. I'm nagging them one day through the week if I've heard nothing they've had long enough!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I am in such a foul mood :mad:
Firstly, it looks like my mobile has packed up again. It's turned itself off so I thought maybe the charger wasn't fitted very well last night when it was on charge, I've tried 3 different chargers and nothing, so I'll be off to the shop tomorrow
Secondly, as you may already know I've been trying to decorate the girls for weeks but they seem unable to get it tidy enough for me to put the ladder up! And on the rare occasion it is something has happened and I wasn't able to do it.
I've now had enough so I told DD1 who is nearly 19 that she was helping me today (it's a rare thing for her not to be at her boyfriends) and she's basically had a paddy!:mad:
So I have said that I'm giving up. I am no longer going in there. They can live like pigs I don't care anymore. They can live with bare walls and carppy carpet. I'm not wasting my time or money. I already have the carpet, I wouldn't like to say how long it's been rolled up waiting on the staircase
Actually, I will have to go in there to get to the airing cupboard and dump their junk in there from them leaving it in the front room but that's it.
I think I'm going on strike in other areas too, I'm sick of doing everything!0
