Yorkshirelass I work in thr theatre. Are they the big paper ones or the cheque sized shiny bright ones. Are they from society of london theatre? Thry dont expire so use away. Its just if there the paper ones they stopped making those about 6 years ago so you might get a funny look but dont worry they dont expire and u can still use them! X0

Last week (or was it earlier this week?) there was a very real discussion about whether it is okay to have a gibble box in each room for when these mythical guests turn up. (I voted for the oven as the hidey hole.)
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
That's the best thing about having canine guests. They couldn't give a flying fiddle about how tidy the place is, just as long as there's space for their bed, fresh water, food on time, walkies when required, and lots of fuss, cuddles and play.:T:T:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Bathroom cleaned
Towels al in and airing
Kitchen a mes again despite DS2 and I both doing a batch ofwashing up.
Fire on and I'm watching strictly. DH and DS3&2 gone to the fireworks, think I'll soak my feet. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Oh Lamewolf, I do love you!Better is good enough.0

I think flying (I've been on-and-off the bandwagon a few times) does 2 things - yes, it helps improve the state of the house, but it also has changed my attitude to it. My house is not that clean or tidy at the moment, but it's improving; and also I am learning to be happier with imperfection and the mess of daily life. The two working together makes for a happier home!0

New regime for November - I'm going to spend 15 minutes every day on the Room of Doom. There are great flowing dunes of 'stuff' building up again. I've set a Reminder on my phone. It'll be interesting to see how far that gets me across the month. Monday - Friday, obvs, not the weekends as well. We don't want to go too mad.
Errr - have you got spies along the coast:eek: *hides in shame (not in the oven though!!)*
I may join you in the 15 minutes a day thing. I've written some of my Toots list on little post-its and put them on the door so I can see them and, therefore, they aren't easy to ignore! The bigger tasks are broken down into smallish steps so I can take one post-it and complete something on a regular basis. Fingers crossed it works as I can't carry on living like this*Mutters darkly about shoving unexpected guests in the oven....*

I find having pet ratties stops most people from wanting to come to visit me - and the furries don't care about the mess (they make enough of it themselves anyway!!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Lots of gardening going on, as such lovely weather.
About to take Dd and friend into town for birthday celebration, then knitting and TV.
Have a lovely weekend everyone. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
How the heck is it the 1st November LOL
I'm gonna jump right back in again, probably still on the same list I left with opppps.
I've managed a little flying today and sorted 3 weeks of washing eckks. My and OH's stuff away as is DD but boys have theirs all dumped on their beds. So tomorrow they can and will be doing there own bedroom. This of course will be an all day session and I might never be seen again.....
On a personal note things have been busy, still with charity helping out, kids to try and organise and decided to start a wee facebook business. The business makes me keep one room very tidy and then I close that door to the rest of the house LOL
Really missed everyone and hope your all well“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
Thanks for the replies regarding cleaning the ceiling bit of my oven. I'm going to have a go at it myself and if it doesn't work, I'm going to get someone in to do it!!Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0
