  • Morning everyone

Finance spreadsheets to update, nasty sweaty muddy football kit to wash, a bit of ironing to do and kids footie this aft. I am going to try and have a bit of down time today too, have had a couple of days holiday but have spent it shredding bits of paper and its going to be a very busy week!

There is some work to do on OHs accounts but that might be for another day.
  • Oh dear, perhaps I should have started in next weeks thread!

It's not been a good start - with the unexpected vet visit and then had to go to visit someone else last night with DH (also unplanned) I came home, made tea and that was that!

I'm going to have a catch up with a friend over lunch today and so going to set myself more realistic expectations for the day

    - Quick tidy downstairs
    - Set of DW
    - One load in WM
    - Sort Nails
    - Shower
    - Have a lovely catch up with old friend

Hope you all have a lovely sunday before the new term begins :) X

Had a grand morning labelling and sorting the nct nearly new sale stuff, packaging up the Moses basket bedding has made me very sad though :(

I have discovered that the box in the front room where I've stored the stuff that didn't sell last year has been quite damp  nothing's really wrecked thank goodness, but all the cloth things need washing again

I'm going to a WI meeting this afternoon, it's a new group and the meeting is on Craftivism with a talk, I know a few women who are going so I hope to have a good time and will report back!

Front room is a bomb site but a productive one, it will be much better after next weekend!

Ooooops nearly forgot October challenge update.!

Maintaining relative cleaniness in the face of furry feline devastation x2? Yep, think I've got it sorted ;) despite a sofa challenge early on (of the wee and poo type ) cats now fully toilet trained and settled in. They have wrecked the kitchen table legs though even though it is RIGHT NEXT TO their scratch post grrrrrr. But I can easily sand them, it's not a good table at all.

Joseph's hoodie? Pretty much done, half of 1 sleeve and a bit of trim round the neck and hood left. Yay!

I find having pet ratties stops most people from wanting to come to visit me - and the furries don't care about the mess (they make enough of it themselves anyway!!
I'd come specially to see the ratties, if I lived near enough.:o

I hope the visit to the vet went ok - what type of critter do you have?:o If I were you, I'd just chill for today; read the thread, get to know some of us [STRIKE]madwomen[/STRIKE]Flyladies, and start in earnest tomorrow.;)

I've made quiche for today's and tomorrow's dins, got the BM on as I type, done a towels'n'hankies (ie hot) wash in the WM, and put the HM mincemeat into jars and made labels for it. Also did HHWiiFit.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all

beautiful post Honey Bear - and well said IF our houses were permanently perfect then this thread would be redundant.

Been a couple of days of flurry and madness here; along with MUCH laundry as DD brought it home (having asked if she could) - so I was MOST thrilled with the weather!

She has gone to her dad's for a few hours and he is taking her back to Uni which is good news for me as it saves me the journey; he lives VERY close to the 29A junction.

We've been to b'nq and brought paper samples. So far no decision has been made - DD was somewhat aghast at the fact that I had stripped the wall withour having made a decision!

Incidentally IF anyone is wanting to get rid of old tools the Tools with a Mission take them, clean and paint them and make them like new and then ship them to coutries where they are put to good use by people, giving them a leg up in life ot helping them learn a trade. they also collect unwanted craft stuff such as sewing and knitting equipment and stuff for schools.
