not sure if its just cos the nights are drawing in but things arent seeming so cheerful or positive as they could
and im now fed up with the fireworks, i dread to think how much was [STRIKE]spent[/STRIKE] wasted over the road from us saturday night i could barely hear myself think for about an hour. neighbours had gone out to a display and left their dogs locked in with curtains drawn but every time a bang went off they were barking as they didnt know what was going on.SPC~12 ot 124

Evening! I think I am just about ready for school tomorrow. Now need to make sure I'm ready for Rainbows too.I'd come specially to see the ratties, if I lived near enough.:o
And you'd be very welcomeMaybe you could pop in next time you come this way to catch a ferry - or one day I'll bring them up to visit you!!!!!
I have also found 6xgreat-grandfather's will online (he died in 1739)
Wow! Exciting! I haven't got back into the 1700s yet.
Another cross stitcher here - I also need something for my hands to do when I'm watching tv. I find it very therapeutic."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

am pleased my matra and my PMA are having some effect on some.
Personally I feel quite flat, what with DD having gone back.
Have cleaned out Benny Bunny and decided to use an old, rusting wallpaper scraper as a hutch scraper, for the parts of the hutch that need scraping.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

HI everyone. Hugs and a chocolate biscuit to those feeling flat. I am lucky, I like this time of year - autumn colours and the changable weather, brown boots and tights, apple crumble with custard, windy walks, and still the occasional bright, blustery sunny day. The world smells fresh and clean at this time of year, the old leaves blowing away and rain washing away all the remaining summer dust. And beautiful skies here, most days - and all the festivities, halloween and bonfire night, and Christmas to plan for. Starting up the wood burner, clearing out cupboards, doing less in the garden and concentrating on the house, warm blankets, knitting, and hot chocolate.
We had lots of family round today, so cooked lunch for 9 and tea for 7. Because I've been on this thread for a couple of weeks, getting the house ready was really quite do-able, at least downstairs, and the cooking went well. Joining in here every day has SO helped me feel more on top of things, even in this short time. Thanks everyone
DH is clearing up :A and I am going to do the Tsco order. If I can finish it by 9pm I will reward myself with some telly and a glass of wine.0 -
Hi all, I have seen the light - I really have. No wonder my house is such a mess, all my cupboards are full of stuff that has no purpose whatsoever!
I have been on a massive decluttering mission for the last 3 days. I have filled 5 bin bags for a British Heart Foundation Collection tomorrow and a boot full of stuff to go to the recycling place.
I feel absolutely filthy from my foray into the back of the hall cupboard, and I am getting tired now. I should probably load the car up with the rest of the stuff then I can drop it off after work tomorrow.
I need to load the dishwasher and tidy the kitchen too.
Anyone got any ideas to stop clothes stored in the top of the wardrobe smelling a bit musty when they have been up there for a while?0 -
Evening all
Hugs Mrs MP and Valli I feel flat too atm and like you sushi I usually love this time of year, just can't get my mojo back, I really think for me hormones are playing a part. I had zero interest in halloween or fireworks and the thought of Christmas just makes me go blur.
Shirts ironed for DS1 whilst he helped DS3 with his English homework (I so wasn't in the mood for that so win win).
Used some apples and pastry up which were nearing the end of their days and some blackberries which have been in the freezer far too long.
I'll do the list in a bit.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
