Is it OK to pop my head in and ask a quick question of all you cleaning experts? I have filthy oven to get cleaned and the bit that has me stumped is the inside top bit (the ceiling, behind the heating element). How on earth do I clean behind there? Do I dab on Oven Pride type cleaning fluid and try and wipe it off or remove the heating element and just get stuck in? If so, is it easy to remove??
What do you all do??Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -

Remove the heating element as the solutions can corrode it it and they fail a few weeks after. We leant this from the oven cleaner!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I've never cleaned top or the back panel of my oven. Can I do top with steam cleaner without removing anything?Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Well, I haven't finished planting all my bulbs yet, but we have had a pleasant walk in the arboretum followed by a very nice lunch, and this afternoon I have tidied the front garden borders, with DH's help pulled out a young sycamore (about 4' tall), and cut back the kerria japonica that was threatening to take over the drive. Now I'm home alone because DH is frightening the kiddies on the heritage railway this evening.
Hope everyone has a peaceful night, unless you actually enjoy being frightened! I shall settle down with Autumnwatch and sew up the little jumper I finished last week.0 -
I always put this task off, - I hate loud screechy noises :rotfl:
So do I but watching my lazy boys leap out of their chairs/beds makes it all worth while hahaLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Evening
We are home, and kiddies away to bed. It's all rather tidy here and we all have fresh beds. Wonder how long that will last!
I have a few bits to do tomorrow, including going up in the loft (will take Halloween bits up), a spot of ironing, a pile of sausages that need to be cooked, some homework time with the little ones, gift to wrap, card to make etc etc.
I want to test my smoke alarms too.
Tonight I'm going to try stay up a bit later. I feel tired as my sleep pattern is a bit mixed up, but I think going to bed early isn't necessarily helping. My coffee is decaf tonight...
I may file my nails and remove the old gel polish. They are all different lengths and frankly look grotty!Bossymoo
