We've been away to mum and dads since Monday and it was SO NICE to come home to a clean and relatively tidy house today :j:j:j go the wm on already:D new cats seem pleased to see us back -the neighbour was popping twice a day to feed and check on them. They've managed to get through the stair gates though s they were a bit if a nuisance upstairs at bedtime tonight though. Going to crash downstairs now with sme anniversary chocs (8 yrs yesterday) and text round to try and get a babysitter for Saturday as I've booked tickets for the glee club :D

Thoughts are with all those that need them, I've managed to catch up on the thread just about. (hugs) available as required:)

For sushi star, my dailies include:
    Empty Dw,
Wm x however I can manage
    Make beds
Wipe sink, clean loo (manage this a few times a week)
Feed cats/ litter tray/clean bowls etc
Clear up island unit( my major hotspot)
Keep kids floors relatively clear ( bung stuff in boxes)
    Clear up after every meal
    Put Dw on in evening
Clear sink and work surfaces, wipe hob
My new habit I am trying to get embedded is to put away a bit of washing every day into drawers so I am not left with a mountain of putting away that accumulates over a fortnight or so and takes aaaaaaaages

Most days I just about manage dailies:o
  • Evening all (ooh sound like a policeman...well, woman :D).

Today has been a productive day - I've crossed everything off the list that I've done and added a few extras at the bottom:

Wonderous Wednesday ~ bathroom, study, pc room, loo..
    15 minutes...

[STRIKE]Clear the floor of grot, laundry and gubbins[/STRIKE]
    30 minutes to spare...
Wash down the tiles and [STRIKE]windows[/STRIKE] (done yesterday)
[STRIKE]Clean the bath, bog and basin (and the shower if needed!)[/STRIKE]
    Wipe over the paintwork
    Got an hour...
Wash mats, curtains etc that need doing
Clear the pc desk of rubbish and excess piles of junk
    Dust any dusty places
Sort out bathroom cupboards/shelves - throw away empty bottles.

    Also:
    [STRIKE]Update spending diary[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean fish
    Clean chooks
    Cut down jerusalem artichoke plants
    Plant hydrangeas
    [/STRIKE]
I also sorted out my dodgy hoover which seemed to have lost suction. I'd almost given up on it and planned to buy a new one but after spending half an hour following an online video on how to take it apart, washing the filters etc, I think I may have fixed it. It seems to work much better and I've also ordered some new filters for the bargain price of £6.99 - much cheaper than a new hoover so feeling very virtuous! :A

    Time to catch some zzzz's...night...

  • Thanks ionafan, kazwookie, mummyroysof3 and all the others for your dailies. I think I do lots already but I feel like I'm treading water rather than making progress. It's good advice about the decluttering - to work on!

mrs-moneypenny I was very productive for the first 15 mins, then suddenly realised the 2 littles had to be at the drs for their flu vaccination! So had to dash out and leave everything, JUST made it in time. Glad you got lots done, go you!:T

Have spent this evening FINISHING the flatpack. Phew - 4 days! So now the bedroom looks beauuutiful - just need to clean it tomorrow! I'm doing paid work all day tomorrow, but from home, so will set my timers and stop for 5 min every 25 min, jump up, and do something useful.
  • Evening all

LW - I know I'm being silly, the reason I'm still unsettled is that late OH's bloods initially came back clear. I also hate not knowing, I'm a control freak!
Bossy - hugs, be gentle with yourself, you have a sadiversary coming up? I get reflective in the run up to them, certain things marking the passage of time and the hurt and confusion of how can this be.

    WM
    DW
    bath and sinks cleaned
    Shower bleached, descaled and cleaned
    Both loos cleaned
    Window sill wiped
    Washing hung up
    Washing up done

challenge updated, halfway through the rib on the front of my jumper

    Goodnight

Morning all, just finishing breakfast, will then get cracking with paperwork as it's payday. I can't get in the bathroom till DD leaves anyway.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning - sorry I was awol yesterday - just caught up with the thread so thinking of Pigpen Mr and Mrs LW, Katiecat and anyone else who needs healing or coping vibes that I have missed off.

Just updated my finances spreadsheet and sorted the outstanding bits I need from Mr S to use a £2 off voucher then my big shop for November is complete! Dragged DH round Mr Al*I at teatime last night and managed to get everything I needed thank goodness. So now "well sorted" for Nov with at least 25 meals in the fridge and freezer.

Today is vol job 1 am and then I must re-write story one, finish story two, taking account of "comment"s and make costume for DH and self for tomorrow. As you can see very little flying going on here so I am very glad to see you are all doing so brilliantly. I plan to catch up big time over the weekend.

    Take care. xx
