  • cracking on today! Smallest person has gone to the childminder today as I have to pay for it anyway, so I am having a day with the big kids till 5:20 :p Am planning to take them swimming later - as the council won't let me take 3 at once - so its nice to do something with them I can't usually do. planning to do a cake/cakes as well with them as well and get lots done as they are playing independently in the most beautiful and civilised way at the moment...... I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come when the smallest hits a more civilised age!

Cats have discovered the upstairs unfortunately - coralling 2 ninja cats is just not possible for humans I'm afraid, so our efforts at cat containment have been overrun by furry persistence and peskiness. Feeling bad cos I shut the door on one last night trying to trap it in the kitchen/LR. They're getting quite miaowy so I definitely don't want them upstairs at night, my nights are bad enough as it is!
  • Morning,

I just cleaned down the side of my oven with BBQ skewers in an attempt to start some pre festive season cleaning/decluttering/decorating. It reminded me of this thread so here I am.

Will just try and catch up with a few jobs today mainly sorting book cases and toy boxes.

Really love this board and this thread

    Morning all

recycling bins out. Somebody had brought my green bin up so I homed it. Then I realised they'd brought theirs so I swapped 'em over!

Collected new rabbit hutch roof last night (other had water damage) which was exchanged FOC under SoGA (and with no problems from the 'pets in the house';) 'supermarket. DS and his GF had bought it and I didn't even have the receipt to hand, so kudos to them for sorting it. It's now in the shed until I get round to swapping it. Am collecting DD shortly and we are returning via Meadowhall. At half term. On a wet day. I must be mad...

Morning all, I'm here..actually posting. I know it's a miracle..lol After my sofa day yesterday where I watched a whole morning of Criminal Minds, and then doing nothing I am still in pj's but have had my meds and just catching up on Matthew Wright's paper review. Then am heading off to have a shower..

Funnily enough the house is looking relatively ok on the surface but I know it needs a bit more. It's amazing what hoovering the carpets can do...lol I hold hands up - I can't remember when I dusted...lol So have to dust the living room and move my ornaments back to their original positions. The kitten seems to think they are fair game to him...he's a terror is Kiwi. Always up to something or other!! At the moment he's now snuggled up on the sofa back besides me trying to look all cute and sweet!!! Wonder what he's done!

Wonder if I should follow my own lists that I post on here for you all...I used to until I started this group therapy thing a few months ago. Oh well we were warned that I would feel rather carpe during it but it will be worthwhile at the end of it. Only another 3yrs and 8mths to go...:p

Hugs to everyone that needs them, sorry they aren't individual. But the thought is there for you all. Some I know what you are going through and some I don't.

    Morning!

Nice to "see" you Natty, you're sounding rather positive :T

I've been blitzing upstairs today. Both bathrooms washed down and all rooms dusted and vacced. Done a fair bit of rehoming and had a look at kids clothes boxes. DS school coat zip has failed but he has another two (!) in his box so that's good. DD shoes are falling apart but she doesn't have any spare so they will go on the list. Also found some warmer clothes for her and some too small stuff I will take for my cousins lo.

Just having a :coffee: now, need a break. I think I'm done upstairs until tomorrow when I will strip the beds. It's looking heaps better.

Thanks Deco I think you're right, it's just that time of year, memories of bad news, worse news and even crappier news each day. It does explain why I'm feeling out of sorts, a bit tearful, short on patience and have hankerings to start decorating (my displacement activity of choice).

Ah well. Onwards and upwards. This rug won't vacuum itself...

Aww. DS has just said "mum are you alright?" And I said "yes I'm just a little bit sad" so he's brought me his trick or treat bag from last weekend to give me a sweetie :A

  • Hi everyone. Just caught up from last night and this evening - this thread makes me feel energised, all you busy people! :T

I've not done loads yet. I called the company about getting a spare part for the furniture (one bit was missing ). I have decluttered all my work emails and the work forums I have to be on.

I am MARKING ESSAYS today. There are many of them, and the list never seems to get smaller (it does really, but at the start of a batch of essays it feels like a big hill to climb!) I am planning to finish the one I'm on by 11:45, then clean for 15 mins. Then another one until 12:30, then shower. Here I go! (productivity vibes gratefully received) :)

Washing on the line, not sure if it will dry. Sorted DS3's clothes with him and have a pile to get rid of.

Just doing lunch then need to drop DS3 at friends and think I'll do my food shop and get petrol and drop stuff at the scrap store whilst out.
