By the way. Laterooms seems a bit strange, if i want to book 1 night i can do it online, but if i want to book 2 nights it gives me a reference number and a number to call.

Does anyone have any idea why???

Because sometimes they have to verify with the hotels if the extra night is available.

https://www.quidco.com is a website that gives you cashback on purchases that you make via certain sites. If you search quidco on the forum I'm sure there will be quite a few threads.

When i booked my rail tickets i got a link to the Britannia hotel that was the cheapest yet and also a free bottle of wine offer (probably cider, but still).
Though when i went back to their site a few minutes later, as i wanted to book on a separate card, i couldn't find the same deal.

    Maybe i need sleep.

Check out lastminute, they have billy rooms for £36, says 10% off in your period, also wine , but room only available for 3 August. A quick scan reveals rooms getting booked up fast for 4th, so get your skates on if you haven't booked yet. HotelClub have room for 4th, but coming up £65, no wine:(

    Here's the link

Has anyone ever booked with a place that 'took your credit car details yet said you had to pay at the hotel on arrival or departure'?

As this seems very dodgy to me as (apart from your credit card details - [god know what they are going to do with them]) what would the booking agent get out of this??

most take your CC details on booking, then you show card on check in to pay, and that's it unless you have any extras. As long as it says in the T&Cs you can still cancel even though they've got your details as you haven't actually paid. Travelodge take the money in advance on their deals, but those are not for cancellation.

Actually to update this they said i can pay in cash on arrival. So again, why do they even need my card details??? Very strange!
