LOL, I've got this image now...;)
I think the Brittania was quite cheap, included brekkie - can't remember which site but I tend to use the usual, Active, Octopus etc. We spent most of the night standing outside Primark in our nighties (would suit you:D) as there was a problem with the fire alarms. Everyone thought it was for real at first (scary), thank god it wasn't as the roll call was hopeless, they gave up in the end. Think that's why the staff were so evil at breakfast!
It is extremely handy for the station, though, and maybe they've tidied up a bit.
We're you queuing up for Daniel o'Donnell/Harry Potter? Or shouldn't i ask??
So it looks like i'd better take some pockets full of alpen and some UHT milk.
Ps - i haven't booked anything yet, though i suppose i'd better do by the end of the night.
Edit: Has anyone ever stayed at (or know of) the Campanile??
Is it probably too many Campamiles away??

I think you'll find it a fair way from New Street. A thought, have you tried Express Holiday Inn, I think it's just near Snow Hill station, central, you should get a room for about 50 quid. Sometimes online they come up more, but if you ring the helpline they should reduce it for you - a nice American lady did for me recently, I'm sure she'll be a pushover for you;)
ps I think they throw in free brekkie, so no need for bulging pockets
But it's not as close as the others I mentioned last night.0 -
Is the Wetherspoon lodge no good? If you're worried about it being above a Wetherspoons I wouldn't worry, there was no noise or anything from the pub, and I'm sure if you were still worried you could ask for a room a few floors up. Added advantage is that a fry up is only £2.50 i the morning!0

Yeah i did think about that as a good option. If you want to be lonely and depressed you can go alone to your room, if you want some life you can just go downstairs as i'm sure it will be rammed on a weekend.
Only problem i have is trying to book it, as said before they don;t have an online booking thing, and to call them direct seems more expensive (which seems a bit weird).Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -

Hi
Sorry for the late response - if you haven't booked anything yet have a look at Holiday Inn (2 for 1)
www.ichotelsgroup.com/boots
The nights you are looking at are avaliable and the cost would be £95 for 2 nights, so cheaper than the Travelodge. Its not far from New Street station and its a Crown Plaza so should be ok. Think it may have a small gym althuogh no swimming pool etc. Mixed reviews on Trip Advisor, but is very central and you could walk to the Forum where there is a Wetherspoons for a cheap breakfast.
Hope this helps.0 -
How about £62 for 2 nights inc breakfast, if 2 km isn't too far from New Street?
GTA hotels. com, Norfolk Hotel

Still so many choices.
Does anyone in Birmingham fancy putting me up for 2 days???
