Doubt you they will do anything tho!0 -
Ignore it and move on, I've had loads in the past offering an offer that was well below the going rate of what the item would finish for anf politely say no.0

Move on with it. I could go on eBay right now and spend the next 6 hours reporting people who have stuff listed in the wrong category etc.. - there is no point I've got better things to do.0

after a few clicks that just sends you back there0 -
Why on earth would anyone want to aid you in reporting someone for doing nothing wrong?
nothing wrong? they made an offer to buy and collect an item for cash outside of ebay before auction ended in breach of rules http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/rfe-spam-non-ebay-sale.html
It's behaviour that should be discouraged, I wouldn't want to think that might happen to me if I was a bidder abiding by the rules, that's why.0 -

Did they actually say they wanted to do a deal outside Ebay, or did they ask if you have a Buy It Now price ? If it was the latter, you could have changed your auction to BIN (assuming you were within the time scales) and they could have bought immediately.
I get offers to end auctions early all the time, usually, it's someone trying to get a quick deal at a price they think is lower than the item's actual worth.
In all cases (apart from one), the item has sold for much more than the offerYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

yes, that's what i said, they didn't want to 'buy it now' and wanted to pay cash (though paypal was the only method listed).
I can now finish the story.... As I couldn't find out how to I didn't report him. The same person ended up as the successful bidder (bidding ~£5 more than he'd offered to buy outside ebay) but has refused to pay me via paypal and said he would only pay in cash and only what he'd offered me 'outside ebay' . Total scumbag so i'm going through the 2nd chancers (2 of whom outbid his 'outside ebay offer') I hope have more principles and I have found out how to report the timewaster.0 -

Don't forget to wait until the NPB process is closed on the first person before you sell it to someone else. As it stands the first sale has already run up fees which you will need to reclaim.
Personally I would prefer cash on collection over PayPal and posting any day, but each to their own . I am assuming this is an item that is going fully tracked via the post by the way.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
