Best use for the old holder is to put a digestive biscuit in there for those times you are stuck in traffic jams.....

I can't imagine it is NOW illegal to place a made up reminder disc on your windscreen.
Here's one I prepared earlier (about the right size, I haven't checked because it's too cold to go out to the car).
