Interestingly we rarely know , even with a gender specific name and a photo if a user is male or female.

There used to be a someone on a nother board I just felt very strongly was not the sex they said they were, but it didn't really matter...because I cannot say anyone else is or isn't anyway.

As expected the Breast Feeding thread has been pulled.....shame.

Re boards being nasty, yes it happens a lot on here. I would like to think some posters just must be 14 years old with time on their hands but believe it or not some people really are that stupid and nasty.

Not in public to your face of course but get them behind a keyboard and they are all powerful.

Is it mean of me to think that they must be ugly, fat, single, friendless and desperatly unhappy?

    I'm perfect of course. :D

I strongly suspect this one will 'disappear' too before long..

ETA it's been moved to Site Feedback. The original board we were discussing is the Marriages and Relationships board.

Shame that a few threads I were enjoy reading have been deleted. Why unless people are being personal and attacking other people do they seem to just pull the plug, can't they just delete the offending post? I was actually enjoying reading all opinions up until late last night when it got stupid. There is nothing wrong at all with having strong feelings on a subject and expressing them as long as it doesn't get abusive. I think this forum needs more board guides, surely they can afford to take on staff?!

Plus I agree with a few others about other forums that I post on this one has the worst reputation and people are often warned off posting, can't blame them really seeing as most new users are immediately
accused of being a troll. :(

I am one of those older mums, and tbh at the time I don't think I was more jocular or laid back. It was bleddy awful when I think back, I am just more laid back now. :rotfl:

The sisterhood never really existed at all.

And I don't believe that this site was more friendly back in 2004.
Just realized how much of my life I wasted here since 2004

That pretty much reflects what I have experienced working in predominantly male or predominantly female environments.

I frequent a US forum with 99.99% male membership drawn from all walks of life. People say the most terrible things to each other but the next day everybody is back for more.

As an aside, the standard of written English is also a couple of heads and shoulders above MSE. Probably because nobody is afraid to point out spelling and grammar errors.

My fault for getting into landies with LIR!

Seeing as anyone who expresses or agrees with the above sentiment gets name-called and reported

Although to be fair I have also noticed a rather nasty and chippy male user on here, too, recently. He's just as bad as the b1tchy females, believe me.

I wasnt sure who you meant then, but after reading another post that I cant find now, I do now.

Referred to someone as scum last week, I thought that was a bit much. Ive seen him on other forums, recognised the user name, my guess is that his long term relationship/marriage ended due to cheating hence his views, to which he's entitled, but I think it was too far.
