Have you cleaned the filters and the holes in the spray arms?

I spray mine all over the inside with vinegar and empty and clean the food filter when it starts to under-perform.
Mine needs new salt monthly and I top the rinse container up then too but I only use vinegar.

The filter can often be smelly/dirty (that's its job to catch the nasties). To find it - it may be situated at the bottom of the dishwasher.

Recently used Waitrose dishwasher cleaner - this was very good.

I use Tesco's own dishwasher cleaners about uhmmm 2 - 3 times a year... works for me :)

Once in a while I'll stick a large plastic container full of vinegar in there on it's own and put it on the hottest wash it does - makes me think it descales it a little bit if nothing else :)

It could even be that your glasses are 'etched'. This can happen over time - especially if they're always washed in a dishwasher. It's unlikely that the zeolite regen unit is knackered unless you've neglected to put salt in for months. Try running an empty hot wash with a load of soda crystals or white vinegar as suggested. hi , the dishwasher (bosch excel) has started not to clean dishes on the bottom shelf, such as bowls & saucepans that are face down , cleans plates and everything else.
I've cleaned the arms, they werent blocked anyway , checked the salt & rinse aid.
    Any ideas ?

I'm having a similar problem so I would be glad to see a reply to this. Mine seems to have a dead spot on the bottom where thngs don't get washed, in fact they look exactly the same as when they went in and can be right next to something that gets cleaned! I've checked salt & RA, I've tried 3 different types of dishwashing product to see if that made a difference now using Tesco Value so at least its the cheapest that my pots don't get clean rather than Finish!

    Hi,
Sometimes my crocks seem to have bits on them, and they feel gritty.
    Is this limescale?

i'm tired being working all night - i wondered what the heck you were doing putting your shoes in the dishwasher:rotfl:
