It's getting quite ridiculous, I regret having signed up with Plusnet.
The combination of painfully slow dreadful customer service from Plusnet and the painfully slow maintenance service from Openreach missing the deadlines, with poor communication between two parts of the same company, it's just lethal..
I get the impression that Plusnet just want to get you off the telephone/chat, and tick some boxes but no interest in the actual outcome for the customer, so it takes ages for anything to actually happen, from reporting a fault to BT to just getting and update on the situation.0 -

You do have cancellation rights...
http://www.plus.net/support/service/policies/cancellation.shtml
and those under new rules that came in June 2014, they are 14 days from your "acceptance" of the contract, I suspect that they have built their system to say your ACCEPT the contract on sign up but if you are withing the 14 day period cancel it. More info here:
http://www.choose.net/media/guide/features/broadband-distance-selling-regulations.html
Regardless of the Consumer Contracts Regulations that replaced the Distance Selling Regulations in ANY legal contract is subject to BREACH of contract. I suspect they cover themselves but generally if they say it will be installed in a ten working days and it isn't then they are in breach. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
The acceptance period started when I signed up, as opposed to when it was supposed to be installed. I'll look into it, thank you for the tip.0

I changed to Plusnet Nov 2016 with the £75 cashback deal. I have not had a cheque and initial contact with them said I wasn't entitled to it. I tried again today but now they are saying the cashback is paid by MSE. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it? Thanks in advance.0
