Bought some basics to make a curry today. Spent coupons & change I've found. Less than a £1.

I've just checked my receipts and it 95p for 2.27 litres in my local one!
Ah - ha. That's why it's different. I am buying 2 litre packs for 78 pence and you're buying 2.27 litres. I also today paid the same in L*dl.

However - yours at 95p for 2.27 litres (or 4 pints)
mine at 78p for 2 litres in A*di and L*dl

Both work out cheaper than paying £1 for 4 pints :)

£27.77 spent today. Took some flowers up to the grave yard while we were out. No doubt they will not last very long this weather but never mind.
Made some Cornish pasty's today which we had for tea and there was some mix left so also made a Cornish pasty pie which has gone in the freezer. Will drop mum one off tomorrow when pick her up.
    MARCH £62.38/250
  • Have managed most of the week eating out of the freezer, but spent £5.43 on some bits and pieces today. This included a YS whole chicken for £2.40 which I was pretty pleased with, I'm cooking up some stock as I type :D. Unfortunately this means the space I cleared in the freezer this week has filled back up again :o. Anyway, will be heading to Glasgow for a girly weekend tomorrow, so I wont need any food shopping till Monday anyway (cocktail money doesn't count in the grocery challenge right? :rotfl:) Hope you are all having a good week so far!

    £1.90 (roughly) on cheese yesterday.

£9.85 spent on 4 litres of Pepsi max, a box of chocolates ( :o ), a chocolate bar, a 4 serving vegetable tart (YS), 2x fajita chicken wraps (YS), 3x chicken chow mein meals (YS), 2x punnets of raspberries (YS) & a tub of cheese sauce (YS).

I can't resist YS bargains :o On the plus side I won't be doing the weekly shop on Sunday as my parents are visiting so I'm going to meal plan next week around our already packed freezer.

    Adding £11.75.
